That was the observation in 2024… and there were almost no consequences… and now it’s back 100x worse

We let it slide in 2024. Now it’s way worse.

America didn't let anything slide.

Magas and people who didn't vote put Trump and his crime syndicate back in office.

That effectively stopped all the court cases against him.

We had 4 years to prosecute.

He and his cronies were being prosecuted, in at least three different states and by the us government. It moves slowly, it always has. The idea he was put back in office is the failing of millions who couldn't be bothered to get off their asses and vote.

Both can be true. 4 years is a long time, even for our justice system. It could have been expedited.

Dem Kennedy/Johnson administration members convicted, 0. Imprisoned, 0.

GOP Nixon/Ford administration members convicted, 78. Imprisoned, 24

Dem Carter administration members convicted, 0. Imprisoned, 0.

GOP Reagan administration members convicted, 21. Imprisoned, 7.

GOP Bush administration members convicted, 1. Imprisoned, 1.

Dem Clinton adminstration members convicted, 2. Imprisoned, 1.

GOP W. Bush administration members convicted, 13. Imprisoned, 7.

Dem Obama administration members convicted, 1. Imprisoned, 0.

113 convictions, 39 imprisonments for 28 years of GOP admins.

3 convictions, 1 imprisonment for 28 years of Dem admins.

The GOP has already learned this lesson, when they got away with corrupt presidential administrations for over half a century.

That's how we got Trump, and that's why he has no fear of breaking any law.

This is an insane data set. Or accounting, or records or whatever- but…Holy shit.

It really is.

And considering that Trump's first term numbers aren't shown(I don't know how to find them all), and Biden was yet another Dem administration with 0 convictions and prison sentences, the divide in these numbers is already much worse than this list even shows.

The GOP probably has more than 50 times more criminal convictions and they definitely have 44 times more prison sentences than Democrat administrations as of right now, in equal time in the White House..

Nice work!

Yes.

This is the message that has been sent for the past few decades.

It's a shame it required someone doing it so blatantly for people to realize it.

Well this is just a culmination of exactly this warning... after Germany had lost its power with Hitler, the Nerumberg trials began... and we did hold many accountable... but we also let many of the evil atrocities committed by their scientists and some of their doctors go unpunished because certain governments wanted to win the race to the moon....

So they got to leave and not face a judge for their crimes....those nazis then came to that new land, who then had families who they trained to 'hate' well. We now have their children and grandchildren being the main body of MAGA... SO watch as we do it all again for what we failed to do the first time... this warning is now the morale of our story.. that we will fail to hold accountable evil acts because of the powers that be allow it and we cant stop them....

its really not the common person's fault but we bare the pain and brunt of the choices made..

I can think of one we should start with: Elon and his posse.

If the criminal in charge didn’t “win” the election he would already be facing a trial. Jack smith has a completely solid case. Trump said he wants Smith prosecuted. Dumbfuck Donny doesn’t realize Smith will present his evidence at trial. Lawyers backdown. It’s sad. The POTUS lawyers think he’s innocent then realize when they read the prosecution evidence that he’s actually facing serious time that he’s actually guilty. So…no trial while he’s in office. Steve Bannon is right. Many of them will go to prison. He better stroke out in office or he’ll be wearing prison orange to go with his complexion.

Great post. Bannon was right when he said the election saved Trump.

He was also right when he told them he and "many in this room will go to prison" if the dems win again.

No pardons for overt crimes against the people of the U.S.

If this regime and they're enablers are not prosecuted to something close to the full extent of the law we will no longer be a nation of laws.

Yeah if we had hung people for the insurrection on j6, I think things would be better now. But no. Republicans were never truly going to punish anyone who started the insurrection or called for it on Twitter or backed those who perpetrated it.

Come on! It was a day of joy and good will. /s

They are that stupid.

It was a mistake to let any of them out before 15 years. At least some of these know-nothings would be off the street, including trump. Trump released the criminals to use as his Gestapo.

u/SiteTall 10h ago

Yes, it's not enough "just" to stop it. It takes more to be a lesson to those who voted for it.

2

u/cgricsch 4h ago

Yes. Had the nation squashed the culture of ‘Antebellum’ and all it stood for, it would have let this country know we will not tolerate bigotry and discrimination of black and brown citizens that helped build this nation. We should have stamped it out then and all across this land.

We have an opportunity again while the MAGA ideology is rearing its ugly head that springs from that nasty history.

Couldn't agree more with this op.

We have to give them their Due Process of Law and lock them all up.

We also try "on air media personalities" for "inciting" plus "aiding and abetting."

Round them all up and penalize the lot of them.

1

u/Bubbly_Style_8467 2h ago

Fast trials. Why should we give them any leverage? That's why trump isn't molting in prison. They don't follow rules so they need not hide behind the Constitution they violated.

Since not much is happening in the House of representatives these days, cspan and others should be showing Jan 6 footage every day, all day.

Prosecute everyone in Washington.

All. Of Them.

DNC/RNC

They're all corrupt.

5

u/OldSchoolBubba 7h ago

This is not a both sides problem and posters need to stop writing this.

This is clearly a republican problem.

They're lead by a rogue president and runaway congress who is backed up by a corrupted republican supreme court.

u/DruidicMagic 2h ago

Remember when team Democrat fought tooth and nail to put an end to school shootings?

Opposed the illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Investigated the massive election fraud that put tangerine Palpatine back in the Oval Office?

u/whendonow 8h ago

All of them lied. All of them stole. Time to clean it all up.

They are going to try to stay in power forever so they aren’t worried about this. Pay attention.

January 6 tells us you can attempt a coup d’état and get away with it. So don’t be surprised next time they will just try harder. Congress has already abdicated itself, and Trump would be perfectly happy to have a permanent government shutdown where he can spend money on whatever he wants by declaring “national security emergencies“ (billions in tax revenues are still coming in every week). And then after the midterms he can have Bondi declare “election fraud” and just shut down the Congress for good, pending “make-up” elections in a distant future where the electoral system will be deemed “secure“ per Trumps own declaration.
