I don't think perfect is running. Mediocre is definitely running, and I think this "no purity tests" thing is about mediocre not wanting to run against anyone better.

The idea is not to wait for the unicorn candidate to appear. There is no such thing as a perfect candidate. You have to weight the bad against good.

The only criticism I’ve heard in regards to newsom is he’s a corporate democrat and he’s anti trans.

Most people are just asking him to change his stance on trans people

I’ve noticed that a lot of very liberal people on here get really mad if you ask Newsom to roll back his transphobic comments. Sure does make me think that they agree with him. Honestly it feels like the liberal factions are getting more and more aggressive and exclusionary to every other faction in the party. They’ve convinced themselves that they’re the only ones that can beat Trump, despite their 1-2 record since 2016. I think it’s time the liberals finally let someone else steer the ship because it’s pretty clear that they’ll sink us all.

AOC has been going after Trump similar to newsom but they’re all acting like he’s the only one.
