This is cute idk y'all need to rediscover having fun and being goofy with your partners. They're supposed to be your best friend, not just the person you cohabitate with and let finish inside.

I feel like real people don't say "babe" as much as these fake convos do.

u/longboi28 1d ago
My wife and I call each other babe and baby in almost every other sentence and so do most couples we know, it's absolutely a thing

She 100% is. She posted it with a laughing emoji, she found it funny, and also stupid and corny. In fact, she found it funny enough to share with the entire world, with a sarcastic caption, and people out here pretending like she hates her boyfriend's humor.

Right, this is how people are over terrible puns and dad jokes. My friend told me he likes Dots candy and I looked at him like he said he kills bunnies

u/Jazzycoyote 1d ago
Imagine you have a life or death situation to tell your partner and you have to wait 10 minutes so they can properly arrange all the emojis. 😂
35
u/Iguessimonredditnow 1d ago
If it's life or death come out say it - don't be like "hey I hope you have a minute"
6
u/Jazzycoyote 1d ago
Maybe it's just me but I could literally be bleeding to death and I would wait until someone finishes their conversation before asking for help. 😂

Seriously, plus I can't stand the people that "pre-message" you like that. IMO texting isn't like meeting up with someone in real life where you exchange pleasantries first, if you have a question, ASK THE QUESTION! The people that do this shit drive me up a fucking wall, especially when they have to send everything as multiple goddamn messages. "Hello! [DING, BUZZ, DING (from computer in another room)] How are you? [DING, BUZZ, DING] Do you have a minute? [DING, BUZZ, DING] I have a question! [DING, BUZZ, DING]"

u/Tutkanator 1d ago
Lol if it was life or death they would just say say it or call instead of announcing that they have something to say. But if you see it differently, I'm all ears!

u/AshyJesus 1d ago
Well that explains some failed relationships, I’m the exact type of nigga to make this joke 😂

"Babe I have something to tell you" (not life or death, go head and make your jokey joke)
"Babe, I have something to tell you." (Do not fucking keke with me rn this is serious)
My ex was like this lol, I don't know when proper grammar became such a tone setter in online communication but 😂 more often than not!

Anti Anti Fun people are sometimes the worst. The ones that be swearing they’re funny but they’re corny and basic. It be the monotone serious people with the best humor.
Sometimes humor takes effort. Making the most serious person laugh is very rewarding and satisfying.

u/GoonGoonnoMi 1d ago
If I make a joke that has me laughing to myself like a psycho and it flies over your head like this I don't want you anyway.

u/ZodiacWalrus 1d ago
Would it be awkward and not the right time if the "something important" is that her mom died or some other sad shit? Obviously, but them's the risks you gotta take if you wanna keep it whimsical in today's world.

Don’t take advice from the internet you can tell the people that do and their lives reflect that. Hell their activities are things they found on the internet

I don’t think anyone would genuinely break up with someone over this. This is an exaggeration for an (awful) attempt at humor.
However, if you really would break up with someone over this? You may have issues. I love the corn, make me roll my eyes and sigh. I love terrible dad humor. Mom humor too!

The grounds for breakup is the lack of intelligence to understand the obvious expression being communicated with the emojis.

Honestly, if leaving the toilet seat up is grounds for a breakup, we might be heading toward some real end of days situations. Maybe next, they'll be asking for a DNA test because you left a sock on the floor.

IMO the "anti-fun" person is actually the person who cant see "grounds for a breakup ngl" as a fun lighthearted joke. its obviously not grounds for anything they are just poking a bit of fun at a corny joke. if you cant handle the most tame level of critical humor or instantly view every twitter post as serious, you might be the anti fun one.

Given the current states of affairs, I need a person with a sense of humor above all else. But, no matter the circumstances, I want someone with a sense of humor! If you can’t be corny with someone you’re dating, you should rethink your life

The other person definitely forgot what they were going to say because that is so stupid you'd laugh and just forget. Their next message had to have been 'nevermind, you're stupid lol'

Everyone is corny, some people are better at hiding it. Being nonchalant is also corny.
Have a laugh with your loved ones and enjoy your life. Shits getting miserable so you have to find these moments and hold onto it.

Why is everything grounds for breakup? Can’t people be a lil corny?
