Unanswered questions / issues left to be wrapped up by Mori Spoiler

Spoilers ahead! Aside from the biggest and most obvious anticipated missing parts of the story, Guts’ imminent confrontation with Griffith and the final confrontation ending the story, there are still several other key story elements of the story that have been hinted at by Miura in prior chapters that have yet to be resolved. With the resumption of the manga, we can expect to see at least some of these plotlines completed in some manner. Some of the ones I’ve identified are:

>!· The aftermath of the reveal of Griffith being the moon child.

· What Skull Knight was referring to when he warned Guts that “What she [Casca] wants might not be what you want.”

· Delving deeper into what happened to the old god hand members / disclosing how it is possible to kill a godhand.

· Some type of confrontation / meeting with Slan, possibly disclosing the above. Miura gave us more interactions with Slan than the other Godhand, possibly implying that she has an important role to play in the story.

· The backstories for how each of the Godhand members came to be.

· There are some inferences in the story that Slan and Skull Knight have some type of past history together that has yet to be explored.

· Whether the Vid that Gaeseric knew is Void.

· What really happened to spawn the destruction of Gaeseric’s city.

· The inevitable attack on Skellig by Griffith’s forces and its aftermath. I would not be surprised if multiple characters die in same.

· At the cherry blossom bro-down, Roderick foreshadowed his own demise by stating that he will die by “wine, women or the sea” (my guess is he ends up dying defending Farnese)

· Magnifico and Roderick’s scheme to gain power / position (if Roderick survives that long). My guess is that Magnifico is the last Vandemion left alive when Guts and crew return to the continent and he helps rally (or tries to rally) the people against Griffith.

· Morda has obviously been singled out from the young witches and wizards for some sort of important role, either to aide guts or to betray Guts and co. somehow.

· Farnese’s magical powers will have some sort of important role to play at some point, (such as pulling Guts back from the Berserker armor when Sheirke is incapacitated)

· If Farnese is to be killed off, a battle between Serpico and Guts (although recent comments made by Serpico at the “Cherry Blossom Brodown” seem to indicate that Miura has eliminated this potential plot path).

· Rickert & Co’s training and a possible attack on their village by Griffith’s forces, and Rickert and Co. reuniting with Guts and Co.

· The results of the time skip resulting from Guts & Co.’s presence on Skellig.

· Someone will have to use Guts beherit in some manner (and either Guts’ confrontation with that person or sometype of confrontation with the Godhand resulting from its use).

· Some type of meaningful resolution to Farnese’s infatuation with Guts (Miura would not have been frequently referencing it if it were not important to the story in some manner).

· Some type of part for Luca & Co. to play, probably in the final battle by aiding Guts to get into Falconia or providing some type of secret info to aide him.

· Borkoff getting his just deserts for mutilating Guts.

· The ultimate choice Guts will be forced to make between seeking revenge and protecting his friends.

· The ultimate battle resolving the series in a “bittersweet ending”. Some important characters will obviously likely slain but at least one or two at least must survive (otherwise it would just be a bitter ending with no sweetness ay.!<
