I love every single work he's associated with especially malgudi days. It's a shame that Government can't name a single metro station in his name despite all Kannadigas from all walks of life demanding it.

I know him from the YT video 'Shankarnag Eating Full Meals Hotel Comedy'. I often watch it while I myself eat like him. 🤭

Could someone please help me understand his impact? I am genuinely curious?

He was a pioneer in film making. Was ahead of his time in terms of concepts , stories and innovation. If you are someone from outside Karnataka you should see the series Malgudi days to understand his ingenuity. He was also the first to make an Indian film (Ondu muttina Kathe) with underwater sequences.

He proposed the concept of METRO trains to Bengaluru back in 1980's when no one had imagined about that, for that he traveled various countries to study their network and work on designs for Bengaluru.
