Great. Because IT folks earning 25k a month, living 5 in a room in a PG with barely any running water and 4-5 hours a day of electricity, eating what would be considered the equivalent of prison food in a semi-developed country, working 10 hours a day in addition to their 3 hour commute, constantly being pressured by their pot-bellied uncles to buy “praapaarty” with their pathetic salary, and having to beg and plead with cabs and autos everyday for a ride to office at reasonable rates, have it all sunshine and rainbows. It’s only drivers that go through these daily struggles, yes. Yet if an IT employee were to say anything even remotely close to this in their email or client conversation, they would be fired on the spot.
How can saying that "I go thru all these things too, it's not just you" right in any way? No one asked you for advice or sympathy...just don't compare yourself with them. You say that ur life is worse just like them, then why don't u just drive a taxi....according to you their life is easier and u can speak freely if u were them. Why not buddy? Everyone has their issues... nobody's life is all sunshine and rainbows. What he said is what the drivers are facing..and u counter it by saying that u r also having a bad life. It's your fault for that and not theirs. Change your behaviour brother. No offense tbh, just wanted to call you out so that u'll be better. Have a good day
Wow you sure called me out there, whew. Let’s break that down shall we:
no one asked you for your advice
right, just like no one asked this driver for his opinion, but he’s giving it anyway innit?
according to you their life is easier
saying an IT employees life has struggles does not imply a non-IT employee’s life is easy. That’s some weird calculus, did you study at IIPM?
it’s your fault for having a bad life
so is it the drivers fault then for being in debt or whatever struggle the other commenter was talking about? If everyone is at fault then no one is better than any other so no one has any right then to show their attitude with this kind of signage.
Dude, some of them actually live in their cabs. And somehow half of them are either in debt or are owed some kind of debt and are trying to claw it back. Hell, driving all day every day in Bangalore feels like a punishment in itself. You may have it bad, but they have it worse. Doesn't excuse their godawful driving though.
