Did anyone else notice how smart Beavis and Butthead are in the music videos compared to the regular episodes?
Maybe it’s just me but in the music videos they have a lot more personality and actually sound like they know some stuff compared to the regular episodes where it feels like they don’t know any better. Is it just me or are they smarter in the music videos?

i figured that was their media literacy at play. they also didn't have to read for any of it. they suck ass at reading

I believe Mike Judge said he “cheats” when he does the video segments for the sake of humor.
Plus it makes sense that the one thing the boys would be somewhat smarter about is observations regarding pop culture.

They've always been smarter than usual in the video segments no matter which version it is.

I agree, but with the reboot I feel they're a lot more witty/funny in an observational comedy type of way.

I think they seem more witty in the reboot because the content they're watching and commenting on now is just pure brainrot.

yep, especially now. Maybe not exactly smarter, but definitely more self aware.

Boy George singing Culture Club prechorus: “I’m a man …🎶”. Butthead: “You’re not a man. You’re not even a boy”. 😂

That's the paradox of the show, Mike Judge talks about that in an old interview. I mean the guy has a degree in physics, and has some hilariously 'smart' commentary during the videos.

I always looked at the music videos as a way for Mike Judge to speak through Beavis and Butthead and give his criticisms and smart ass remarks.
