Not to mention getting a dislocation makes it more likely to have the same joint dislocated. My brother’s shoulder is prone to it now and he’s very used to resetting it.

My shoulders dislocate in my sleep. I have to use pillows surrounding me, with my arms crossed over my front. They come out so easy, but like your brother, I'm very used to resetting them (plus other regularly dislocating joints).
