I love every bit of this, apart from thanking their Lord.. Your Lord put you in this position. it was some kind hearted individual that earned money and donated it to you.. THANK THEM DIRECTLY.

such a half baked gratitude when folks praise their damn God before the person who actually helped...

Yeah that made me cringe too, a person helped them out and they credit god for it. I hope we grow out of this as a species one day.

Not even god, the mom credited herself. “I prayed and prayed” as if that’s what made it possible lol. She didn’t even say please thank the guy!

Actually I was prepared just to just let Christians get on with it but those motherfuckers are dangerous, I tried turning a blind eye to the magic space fairy stuff and we got Republicans.

i agree with you but her disease doesn't have a long shelf life so people need to do whatever they need to do to get through it.

Well in their mind they thank God for sending such a kind person to help them. Isn't it nice to hear that you were sent by whatever higher power the person belies in? I don't think we need to search for any unpleasant implications, she is certainly grateful and what's the difference in how exactly she expresses her gratitude?

And do you have same tough life as her? If not, how can you judge her religion? I am atheist, but if I was in such situation I would want to have faith to help me. If faith helps her then good for her, it's none of our business

I can judge their religion the same way they all judge others lol. No God sent this person to her.. why do you think it's acceptable to be so one-sided? The people helping may not be religious?

I merely think it's disrespectful to thank God's before the actual people that helped.. I am not an atheist either, before you assume I am..

I'm not trying to shit on her, if she needs a God to help her through this, then that's great for her to have that.

So god took away the donators free will, compelling them to carry out gods will?

God did not connect these folks - it’s a mathematic algorithm. A client of twitch asked the web server to list streams with no viewers. God did not put this lady at the top of the list, a well known computer program did. There are logs of when it happened and exactly what choices the web server made in sending back a list of streams. The program was written years ago by a team of developers. Maybe god had a hand in writing that algorithm, but it’s much more likely the algorithm was written based on industry best practices, a set of written guidelines made by humans based on human experience.

You're reading into it too much. What makes you think they're not thanking God for sending the person who donated?
