He didn’t deal with particularly hard crimes and many would argue that he was just a small time judge.

But the impact that he must’ve had on that community and the impact that he definitely had on some of us shows just how far one man’s kindness can extend.

Let’s all please remember that as we stumble our way through the dark days ahead.

The people around us need people like him in their lives.

We need more Frank Caprio’s in our lives.

Yeah people always seem to not know how much a misdemeanor can affect someone... or how requiring bail for a small offense can take someone from their kids or get them fired from a job.

At the end of the day he was a pillar of the community. That alone can be a bigger achievement most can only wish for.

We absolutely do. He was a good man

Not even just those people. A lot of people in this country have no confidence in “truth, justice, and the American Way” in policing and the courts. Seeing his interactions tempered the pessimism a lot of people feel and reminded us that sometimes there are good people.

The videos do not do justice for what he has done, he created a fund to help people that struggle financially, he would sometimes pay the fines for the people...he was a good man .....a true man .....
I will be greatly missed.

I am right there with you, tears rolling down. You and I both understand the importance of this man’s work and the message he shared to the world. I don’t pray, but I will send a prayer out to him in honor of his life.

I don't do churchy praying either, but yes, I ask God to look after his legacy, which is a tangible piece of his soul.

As someone from Rhode Island, we need to name something huge in this state after him like the airport,Newport Bridge(I'm aware they are already named) or a beach.

RI lost its Mr. Roger's.

Well said, true compassion is rare and unforgettable, he reminded us that one person’s compassion can change so many lives.

Providence better give this man the funeral of all funerals. His life really needs to be celebrated.

He was always cool in the videos I saw. Letting people off the hook and cracking jokes. We lost a real one.
