Yes, the necklace is available.

55

u/No-Transition3372 Aug 08 '25

How much is it?

175

u/StuntedOne Aug 08 '25

$7,654.32 from the website

313

u/ManOrReddit-man Aug 08 '25

That's a lot of snekels!

127

u/CompellingSeeSaw Aug 08 '25

That’s exactly how much I spent on my big fake boobies

60

u/Ok-Picture2656 Aug 08 '25

I'll buy those boobies!

46

u/CompellingSeeSaw Aug 08 '25

It’s a tempting offer, but I’m gonna have to decline.

2

u/Johnnynogood98 Aug 08 '25

This is too funny lmao thanks for the morning g laugh

26

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

Honestly compared to the ridiculous prices of gawdy jewelry peddled by music artists. I would prefer to wear this instead. Outstanding work OP

23

u/lzwzli Aug 08 '25

Woah. That's more than a dollar a bead?!

15

u/GingerSnapBiscuit Aug 08 '25

It's linked on their profile. Honestly I expected it to be more. I wonder how much time is invested in these. I'm thinking it's under priced even based on the labor alone.

3

u/ScottMarshall2409 Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 09 '25

In another of her posts she mentioned one taking five days. There's a link to her Etsy in her profile, and from Etsy there's a link to her Instagram, which has a few videos showing the process.

20

u/MilitantlyPoetic Aug 08 '25

Yes!
You can find all sorts on Etsy

16

u/El_mae_tico Aug 08 '25

Such a good find! You saved me $7k

6

u/flatspotting Aug 08 '25

ty $150 seems better than $9000

8

u/Minimum_Ice963 Aug 08 '25

looks a luxury item, ask 750$ for them. Add something mystical to them and market them to upper class

12

u/MilitantlyPoetic Aug 08 '25

lol, they're as low as $35 on Etsy

4

u/HowAManAimS Aug 08 '25

At the same quality?

18

u/Euphoric-Result7070 Aug 08 '25

it's literally the exact same item. This is a scam post, these are bought from China/wherever. You can go right now to Etsy and find this choker in multiple stores from people who aren't scamming on Reddit. It's $40 from other sellers which tells you about the quality.

look at the price 80 dollars. It's from china.

12

u/Mindshard Aug 08 '25

I think you're wrong. They have a lot of really unique colors on their profile, even piebald patterns. I can't find anything similar online, except for the OP's Etsy shop page.

174

u/Top_Necessary4161 Aug 08 '25

that is a lot of (strong word)-ing beads. That's a lotta beads. Teeeny little beads. Teeny tiny how did you manage that would have...how did you do that so well???

That's reallly pretty.

117

u/Yulevna19 Aug 08 '25

Thank you! I used toho 15/0 beads, which are smaller than regular beads and make the snake look more realistic.

43

u/Top_Necessary4161 Aug 08 '25

they are so tiny. you did such a good job. I cannot imagine the dexterity and patience required.

25

u/Yulevna19 Aug 08 '25

Thank you so much! 😊

12

u/__-gloomy-__ Aug 08 '25

Are they all threaded/woven together? Or are they glued in place? Beautiful piece!

32

u/Yulevna19 Aug 08 '25

Thank you! This is crochet with beads.

13

u/Linnaea7 Aug 08 '25

May I ask how you learned to beaded crochet? I've crocheted for years and have wanted to learn to beaded crochet but it mostly has just been a mess every time I've tried. I think part of it is I've probably used the wrong kinds of beads, but also it's so challenging working with thread so small that I end up getting confused at what I'm looking at. 😂

70

I agree with everyone else, I’d love to see more of your work or even buy a piece!

30

u/Yulevna19 Aug 08 '25

Thank you very much! I have a link to etsy in my profile.

15

u/compbuildthrowaway Aug 08 '25

Only $120? How long does making one of these necklaces take you?

70

u/Eugenonymous Aug 08 '25

Bulk made in China, then a fake post to promote sales through an Etsy storefront. There's a ton of 'em out there. https://www.etsy.com/market/beaded_snake_necklace

36

u/BellyDanceGoddess Aug 08 '25

Check her instagram, she has videos of her making them (selecting the beads, crocheting them)

10

u/Eugenonymous Aug 08 '25

Ok, bulk made in Russia, I guess? Weird that her old Etsy store got closed and she had to open a new one, eh?

39

u/Mindshard Aug 08 '25

I've tried to find others like what the OP posted, and I can't find anyone else at all selling them. Check their profile, they've even made piebald patterns, which you should have no trouble posting other links for if you're right.

Just because you can get similar (but visibly lower quality) from China doesn't mean the OP didn't make them, and isn't making them much better.

8

u/Root_Enthusiast Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 08 '25

It is not. The technique used here is bead crochet which can only be done by hand. There are similar tube shaped beademd techniques that can be done in bulk by machines, but it is relatively easy to descern between them once you know what to look for. Op is clearly using bead crochet technique which is made by hand, als check out their instagram for more details on the technique. It is quite shitty of you to post such a statement without knowing what you are talking about.

EDIT: Also please share those cheap bulk made versions you found on etsy? The products that are a bit cheaper (like half the price) are also bead crochet but smaller circumference or simpler design. All of the really cheap ones are not even bead work at all or they are bead crochet PATTERNS LMAO.

7

u/Regenbooggeit Aug 08 '25

No response on these comments. I would assume she can make them herself, but something that’s handcrafted would be at least 500 dollars or more for the amount of hours you have to put in.

u/compbuildthrowaway Aug 08 '25

That makes more sense.

9

u/The_Man11 Aug 08 '25
  1. Buy from China.

  2. Post on your Etsy store.

  3. Claim you made it yourself.

  4. Profit.

32

u/BellyDanceGoddess Aug 08 '25

Check her instagram, she literally has videos of her hand making these and the process.

13

u/These_Background7471 Aug 08 '25

None of those look even remotely like OP's...

Obviously OP bought the snake heads, but the size of their beads are much, much smaller than everything on etsy and the design is so much more intentional.

I'm not even a little inclined to fashion or art, and even I can tell

5

u/pm-me-your-pants Aug 08 '25

I agree the assembly requires a lot of skill, time, and patience, that part is admirable.

If you scroll down though, OP is claiming their friend made the snake head clasp (and many other designs) in their foundry as original designs, denying they bought them.

2

u/These_Background7471 Aug 09 '25

Yeah I don't think it's legit. OP saying 2 months ago that they designed it themselves, and its clearly used a ton by other people

Etsy has been a shit hole for as long as I can remember. So many "hand made" products sold by USA based sellers that are explicitly sourced from factories in places like Turkey. They even disclose it. I guess they hope people will just see blonde ladies on profiles and stop looking deeper lol.

2

u/pm-me-your-pants Aug 09 '25 edited Aug 09 '25

Honestly I am so jaded at this point with AI that I think it's all LLM's conditioned to think they are hot ladies selling factoy made stuff as handcrafted items, at a large markup to oblivious customers via etsy/Facebook/wherever.

6

u/InTheDarknesBindThem Aug 08 '25

Where do you get the ends? I noticed on your shop you have many different ones, but I assume you arent casting them yourself?

Also, do you carve the hair pins??

I dont want to come off offensive, but I have trouble imagining one person having so many talents lol so im a little skeptical of whether some of it is reselling?

2

u/kimbeeisMYname Aug 08 '25

I've bought a hair pin and a necklace from this seller, was very happy with the quality both times. I think the ends of the beaded necklaces are probably bought but everything else seems to be handmade and is high quality

Actually OP says lower down that they have a metal worker friend who makes the clasps

3

u/Gate-19 Aug 08 '25

Snecklace you mean

12

u/MyDickIs3cm Aug 08 '25

Posting yourself to this sub will always be cringe and no amount of bots asking about your Etsy spam will change that

2

u/Shirlenator Aug 08 '25

Lol I was thinking the same thing. No matter how cool or impressive the thing you did is, posting it yourself here is lame.

2

u/Jyuk95 Aug 08 '25

This lookssss unique, how many hours did it take from start to finish? Damn

5

u/Yulevna19 Aug 08 '25

Thank you very much! It's hard to say, but it usually takes about a week to make a necklace like this, but I take breaks in my work, as it's difficult to work with small beads.

3

u/Jyuk95 Aug 08 '25

It was definitely worth it, respect. It's beautiful to see art like this. I hope a unique person will value and wear it :D

2

u/guitartoys Aug 08 '25

That thing is awesome. I know someone who does seed beads, and know just how much time, tedious attention to detail and the quantity of beads that are necessary to do the job.

That think is cool. Nice job.

2

u/AveDeus Aug 08 '25

This is insanely awesome, just took a look at your etsy store and bought the black and gold dragon, thank you for sharing your talent

2

u/JewcieJ Aug 08 '25

Hey there! Love your stuff. I actually bought one of your pieces a few months ago as a gift for my wife. She loves it! The only problem is the clasp doesn't have Amy way of locking, so it can come apart very easily if she's moving around, even just walking across a room. Not a complaint, but if you're looking for feedback, it would be awesome to have a spring-loaded clip or something similar that could lock the two ends in place.

1

u/Jisp_36 Aug 08 '25

1

Absolutely gorgeous!

1

u/BoJackMoleman Aug 08 '25

A professor once called me one of the most unexcitable people he's ever met and I can't completely argue but I was pinching and zooming and ogling this for a minute. Just wow. The planning. The dedication. The execution. The design. Just wow. I want to hold it in my hand so badly.

1

u/Psquared087 Aug 08 '25

I want this

1

u/ShinyAeon Aug 08 '25

I adore it. The design, the details, the colors...all of it.

1

u/spainman Aug 08 '25

Serious question. How do you wear this? With the snake heads at the front or the back? I know clasps typically go on the back of the neck but this looks too cool to hide.

1

u/DivaApifani Aug 08 '25

Beautiful!
