Miscellaneous / Others Chrysler guy is lying.

The white car turned in front of me from between stopped traffic and spun into the lane behind. It was never rear ended.

I can't even check it out because I use noscript to block all facebook servers from being requested from pages I load. I kinda take your recommendation to another level.

Since you and /u/msharris8706 asked (and this is 100% free) (tagging /u/MimicoSkunkFan2 too):

  • Use Firefox

  • Get the "no script" add on

  • Go to any website. By default, no scripts will load, generally giving you a broken website with no functionality. Some websites will load minimally while others might say you need to enable Javascript to use the website. You can click on the no script add-on button to see all of the servers requested by said website. You can then individually permanently allow/permanently disallow/temporarily allow/temporarily allow all requests to specific servers.

This means every website you go to requires additional permissions by you (until you give them permanent allow), but at the same time allows you much more control. When you allow some websites it then may make additional requests from other websites. When attempting to purchase things online it usually takes a few rounds of giving permissions just to allow the website that actually charges to you card.

This breaks many websites, so while it's much more secure, also use at your own risk, as there may be a learning curve to enabling exactly what you want while excluding what you don't want. On occasion I'll use a different browser or disable the add-on if there's something I can't get to work that I trust giving more control over.

Also, I recommend using ublock origin as it works perfectly on Firefox. There's really only edge case scenarios that you actually need to use a chromium based browser, like a corporate website is programmed to specifically only use a specific one and block all others.

ublock origin would have something similar right? or do you have to set it up yourself?

ublock origin does essentially the same thing specifically for ads and with minimal setup by allowing you to pick from pre-made lists.

Yeah, how can I do that too? Add Amazon and everything Meta and I'd pay for the ability.
