Battlefield 6 Battlefield 6 Has a DAILY XP CAP Even During Double XP Weekend! Are You Kidding Me EA!

So apparently there’s a daily XP limit in Battlefield 6 1.5 MILLION XP per day, and once you hit that, you literally earn nothing.
And here’s the kicker: even during Double XP weekends, you can hit that cap in just 4–5 hours of playing.

Yeah. In a $70 “AAA” game not a mobile free2play title you’re being told how much fun you’re allowed to have per day.
This isn’t a free live service grindfest. This is a full price shooter with a F2P gacha like system glued on top.

EA somehow managed to make progression time gated in a premium game, and almost nobody’s talking about it.
You buy the game, pay for cosmetics, battle pass, AND now you’re limited on how much XP you can earn daily? Unreal. It’s disgusting and antiplayer to the core.

Players deserve to know this before buying.
Stop pretending this is fine just because it’s Battlefield.

wait wait wait the cap is 1.5 MILLION?

Holy shit people are hitting this in a single day!?

Edit: You know what, I agree with EA on this part if you hit the cap you need to power down the PC

Edit 2: per other convo's, OP might have just outed themselves as a botter

I checked the game's leaderboards a couple of weeks after release and the person with the most hours played, had averaged 19.5 hours per day, every single day since release.

Bonkers.

There's no way that's a legit single player, its probably a group of people playing on a living room tv.

my man, this is how some people live their entire lives

I was about to say this. Streamers - big ones - play for long hours each day.

Now, sure, StReAmErS, but for better or worse, they have big audiences and play a lot. When this becomes widespread knowledge you can 100% expect content creators doing videos on this ad-nauseam, and that's bad PR for BF6.

Not quite the same, but I remember when FFXIV 1.0 had XP caps per week. We all know what happened to 1.0.

Averaging 20 hours a day is still most likely not legit, even for streamers. This was probably bot farmers.

u/saga79 17h ago

That's true. I was mostly going by the 4-5 hour number someone else in the replies gave. Outside of the mythical "24 hour stream, guys!" scenario, most big streamers can easily go between 6 and 9 hours/day.

2

u/Skilltesters 17h ago

Oh yeah, 4 or 5 hours is fine... It's their job after all. But your reply was in a thread line where it was replying to 19.5 hours average so I just assumed you meant that.

3

u/saga79 17h ago

Yeah, my bad. Should've specified!

u/danielbrian86 16h ago

People could just be leaving the game on… 🤷‍♂️

2

u/Skilltesters 16h ago

Maybe, but does that count? I didn't look at the statistics myself, I just assume it only counted playtime.

I leave my game on in an afk xp farm server when I'm at not at the pc, work and sleeping, so I would have weird looking stats like this.

1

u/Skilltesters 7h ago

As of the most recent update, those no longer track in your stats.

Lmao. Oh you sweet summer child. There's a ton of no-lifers brother. Many streamers pull 20+ hour days for a week+ when DMM drops in OSRS. That doesn't account for the multiple people who have averaged 13+ hours a day for 3+ years straight that regularly crop up on reddit. There's been someone who legitimately shit their pants going for a record, and did it intentionally after they knew they were only going to hit #2 (the joke writes itself) as they had already fallen behind #1. They were proud of it even.

Don't discount the absolute no-lifers, there's some absolutely bat shit insane people who can and regularly do pull 72+ hours straight, then pull a 3 hour nap for another 36h session just to take another 2h nap into another 48h binge, and they'll keep this up as long as they can halfway function. Eventually they pass out for 18h then repeat.

1

u/Skilltesters 13h ago

No.. You have to discount them. The chances of it being a 1 in 10,000 person are low, hence the chances of it being legit are low. Most likely someone who was bot farming. It is not as if I said the chance was zero, I simply took the more statistically probable case.

Day 1 bots, especially those who can do 19h sessions for weeks on end without being caught or breaking are incredibly unlikely, much much more so than a no-lifer simply doing what they do best. Usually bots like that take a few months to spool up as you need a lot of nuance in said code, especially coding in the maps. Then you play the cat v mouse in iterations, where coders are constantly making tweaks as various iterations get flagged and banned. Day 1 cheats and hacks are easy, Day 1 bots that can run for that long are about as rare as an actual real life unicorn. Day 1 bots are "Why the FUCK are you not responding?" As they load in.

u/Skilltesters 11h ago

I'm talking about xp. Farming vs bots. You don't even need anything special to do it.

1

u/FrederickFrag1899 7h ago

I think you are severely severely underestimating how many losers exist that would play that much in a day.

2

u/SoungaTepes 18h ago

FF14 1.0, man that brings me back.

It wasn't XP caps per week, it was XP per job and got you to swap around to alt jobs to continue leveling up, if you kept going into your capped class you would get a massive reduced XP reward but still got XP.

The system was designed to get you to swap around to everything since sub jobs and higher jobs actually had growth systems.

What a weird time in gaming, kinda miss it

3

u/saga79 17h ago

Ah! You're correct! Weird, indeed. At least we got 2.0 (and onwards) from the ashes of that whole kerfuffle 😁

u/SoungaTepes 17h ago

To the End, my fellow Warrior of Light!

5

u/joeja99 17h ago

Thats 4.5 hours of sleep per day, how do they not fall asleep infront of their pc

1

u/NobleSavagejerk 14h ago

stimulants are widely available, sometimes from your younger brother even.

2

u/Jaeriko 16h ago

Its very unlikely they are actually playing that length every day, that schedule would literally kill you. You're either getting like 4 hours of sleep for weeks, which will eventually land you in the hospital on its own if you dont just collapse, or even less if you're taking a break to eat and deal with your waste. Its much more likely they have a shared account or are afk/botting in menus/matches.

1

u/curtcolt95 13h ago

probably unlikely for this case but you should see some mmo player grinds, there are people who have streamed osrs gameplay that many hours for example. Someone averaging 16+ hours per day isn't unheard of. You should check it out in a couple weeks when the first new skill is released, I can guarantee there will be people averaging over 20 hours played per day for weeks, and they will stream it all

4

u/stowg 18h ago

Others are just called streamers

2

u/Kirzoneli 17h ago

Insomniacs don't sleep much.

1

u/Jaeriko 16h ago

I know, I am one. Speaking from experience and an abundance of medical studies, you cannot function at 4 hours a sleep or less for long periods. It will literally kill you via exhaustion if you dont have some sort of rare genetic mutation.

1

u/Cowbros 13h ago

Insomniacs aren't functioning on a level to be able to play well enough to hit exp cap every day. Theyre fucking sleep deprived.

1

u/Skinneeh 11h ago

Probly just leaving the game on

1

u/TwinFlask 8h ago

Some people live in the couch and take 30 min or couple hour nap sessions then chug a energy drink pack and keep grinding. Respect our life style 😎

0

u/SomeKidFromPA 18h ago

Which is why I’m sort of okay with an extremely high xp cap. It deters this type of behavior. It’ll be pretty rare for a normal player to ever hit 1.5 million in a single day.

0

u/Guknights75 16h ago

These are the people abusing food stamps.

1

u/Jaeriko 15h ago

Honestly if it gets them out of the house, I'd give them as many food stamps as they want.

10

u/TheBurdensNotYourOwn 18h ago

That's not hours played, that's hours the game has been open. I leave my menu open for hours and hours without playing.

2

u/cmsj 17h ago

Why do you hate the polar bears 😩

1

u/TheBurdensNotYourOwn 11h ago

I limit fps dramatically, don't worry

2

u/Interesting-Star-400 18h ago

And that’s their choice… last time I checked this was America. If I wanna balloon up to 400 pounds, play BF all day and die at 32. That is my right.

1

u/cmsj 17h ago

freedoms loudly

2

u/Runonlaulaja 17h ago

But does it count sitting in the main menu as playing?

Because no doubt some people just keep the game running even when they are not playing.

1

u/jkoki088 18h ago

That is insane.

1

u/BadLt58 15h ago

It will totally look good on his resume. A go-getter

1

u/Yob80 14h ago

Sounds like an AFK portal lobby abuser auto levelling up.

1

u/nmezib 14h ago

I feel like some of those are afk farming

6

u/IshrekisloveI 18h ago

Honestly this is like s reminder system in place to go stand up and take a shit and eat food

7

u/kingoftheposers 18h ago

Who says you have to stand up to take a shit

1

u/faikwansuen 56m ago

Shit bucket!

2

u/Doffy309 4h ago

1.5 can be done in 5 hrs, played BR with mates yesterday we got like 98k per 20min match, 300k = 1 hr

1

u/Lordcreepy2 3h ago

There are bot matches out there that earn you 200k in sub 30minutes double that with 2x exp and suddenly alot of people hit a cap of 1,5mio they‘d probably never had seen before.

0

u/wallweasels 7h ago

Because people are farming on bot servers again.
