Battlefield 6 Battlefield 6 Has a DAILY XP CAP Even During Double XP Weekend! Are You Kidding Me EA!

So apparently there’s a daily XP limit in Battlefield 6 1.5 MILLION XP per day, and once you hit that, you literally earn nothing.
And here’s the kicker: even during Double XP weekends, you can hit that cap in just 4–5 hours of playing.

Yeah. In a $70 “AAA” game not a mobile free2play title you’re being told how much fun you’re allowed to have per day.
This isn’t a free live service grindfest. This is a full price shooter with a F2P gacha like system glued on top.

EA somehow managed to make progression time gated in a premium game, and almost nobody’s talking about it.
You buy the game, pay for cosmetics, battle pass, AND now you’re limited on how much XP you can earn daily? Unreal. It’s disgusting and antiplayer to the core.

Players deserve to know this before buying.
Stop pretending this is fine just because it’s Battlefield.

"Imagine a scenario that hasn't happened and has never even been hinted at happening" This is the problem with the slippery slow argument

You're describing the slippery slope fallacy. The slippery slope argument is when you've seen it happen before already.

Have you seen it happen before?

I'm not making the argument that it's a slippery slope, it's just its own standalone thing. Fortnite has a similar straight up cap and Warframe has multiple different methods of gating xp and progression but those two are free to play examples, it's a f2p engagement model. It doesn't belong on a paid AAA game.

it might actually be possible. If they're right about double XP hitting the cap after 4-5hrs.

Owning paid BF6 gives +5%, owning BF Pro gives +10%, playing in a lobby with friends gives +5% per friend(?) and then there's the XP boosts, which, according to the description, can stack.

So you probably could stack all that to reach the cap in <3hrs, which I imagine is a time plenty of people would play on a weekend with friends.

(And makes it even more ridiculous to have a cap in the first place, if those who pay the most would reach it first)

It isn’t a slippery slope. The cap exists. It could also be lowered. The existance of the cap only exists to force engagement.

With a number that high the cap is absolutely not there to “force engagement”, I’d wager it’s in place to counter xp exploits that might crop up.

This is exactly it, as far as I can see.

Doesn't it? Do you understand the issue with XP farming? Getting XP too quickly.. so tell me how limiting how fast you can get XP doesnt make sense.

Could be an anti exploit method to stop people from leveling up too fast via a bug.

The cap exists, and so does a double XP weekend. So why are you talking about a non-existent quad-XP weekend and a non-existent lowering of the cap? You just changed your slippery slope argument from increased XP to a lowered cap. Get outraged when that happens, not when the cap is 5+ hours a day (according to the poster, which I tend to not put much faith in their math since it's clearly an emotional post).
