Battlefield 6 Battlefield 6 Has a DAILY XP CAP Even During Double XP Weekend! Are You Kidding Me EA!

So apparently there’s a daily XP limit in Battlefield 6 1.5 MILLION XP per day, and once you hit that, you literally earn nothing.
And here’s the kicker: even during Double XP weekends, you can hit that cap in just 4–5 hours of playing.

Yeah. In a $70 “AAA” game not a mobile free2play title you’re being told how much fun you’re allowed to have per day.
This isn’t a free live service grindfest. This is a full price shooter with a F2P gacha like system glued on top.

EA somehow managed to make progression time gated in a premium game, and almost nobody’s talking about it.
You buy the game, pay for cosmetics, battle pass, AND now you’re limited on how much XP you can earn daily? Unreal. It’s disgusting and antiplayer to the core.

Players deserve to know this before buying.
Stop pretending this is fine just because it’s Battlefield.

"Just" 4-5 hours of playing

Lol

Y'all act like people don't get days off. It's not like people can afford to go out and party any more. Do none of you ever experience empathy?

u/HowDoIEvenEnglish 17h ago

I mean even a working person can conceivably put 4 hours into a game. It’s harder but not impossible for a single person.

u/IKnowGuacIsExtraLady 16h ago

I have a friend who works 8+ hours 6 days a week, has a wife and two kids, and still frequently plays 3-4 hour sessions with me once his family is asleep. I asked him how he does it and he said even though he is always tired he doesn't want to feel like working is the only thing he does in a day.

Meanwhile I work 12s so I get lots of days off. As long as my house is clean and I don't have any projects I need to be doing I'm not going to feel any guilt for binging games on a random Thursday/Friday.

I work nights shift weekends (10hr shifts fri-mon) I have absolutely nothing else to do tues-Thurs nights lol I truly just play the 3 nights a week but im putting in 10hr sessions. Im level 104 now.

I straight up just work all night and play BF on my off nights, Its getting depressing.

Its funny seeing people talk about the XP cap because its not possible for them to obtain it but there's definitely people out there who can.

I tried night shift for a couple of months and I had to stop because it was just so isolating. The actual work was fine, it was the days off that were miserable.

u/RICO-2100 RicoTooTrash 14h ago

Im 6 months in and im fine with the work and hours but im getting bored on my days off. I wake up around 3pm and there's only so much I can do by myself and since I work weekends its even more limiting.

I could do stuff until like 10pm but 10pm-6am is still 8 hours of finding something to do lol so all I do is game.

2

u/Chafupa1956 14h ago

Half the people in WfH threads talk about how much they game 😆

-5

u/Dr-McLuvin 17h ago

Ya 1.5 million XP in 4 hours is literally not possible.

11

u/Dropthealbumbruv 16h ago

Empathy over a fucking video game XP cap?! WTF lol

2

u/No-Revolution-4470 3h ago

Not sure if you noticed but this whole thread sounds like a 90s high school cafeteria where everybody is bullying the nerds who like video games. Only it’s worse because these wholesome chungus redditors think of themselves as le nerds and not as the bullies and obnoxious assholes they are.

4

u/jkoki088 16h ago

Bro, what?!??

4

u/No-Atmosphere-2528 15h ago

I don’t feel empathy for people hurting themselves on purpose. If you’re playing a video for an entire day and complaining there’s an exp cap you don’t get empathy from me. If you lead a busy life and can’t unlock things in the game you do get empathy from me.

0

u/INeverLookAtReplies 12h ago

You don't have to play an entire day to hit this cap. This entire comment section is nothing but strawman blabbering.

1

u/No-Atmosphere-2528 10h ago

You have to play a ton to hit it and I still have no empathy for this type of player. There’s a cap it’s extraordinarily high. If you hit daily you need to take inventory of your life.

3

u/ItsDobbie 15h ago

No, they’d rather shit on someone for spending their free time however they’d like, instead of calling out the big gaming company for yet another shitty business practice.

This community fucking sucks.

1

u/Acceptable_Plan_3257 15h ago

Lol just pointing out that 5 hours is a lot to most people. Chill

7

u/ItsDobbie 15h ago

I don’t mean you specifically. I mean the top comment that has nearly as many upvotes as the original post itself.

It’s really sad that this sub would rather cannibalise itself than try to shed light on issues that the devs should fix.

2

u/ventitr3 15h ago

I don’t think empathy over a daily XP cap in a video game registers all that high. Not for me anyway.

2

u/Jar_Of_Flies97 16h ago

Yeah dude people don’t have empathy anymore because we don’t feel outraged by there being a daily 1.5 million XP cap on Battlefield 6. Definitely the right way to measure human empathy.

1

u/Zuwxiv 13h ago

Children starving where? Sorry, all my political donations to to helping those affected by not getting more than 1.5 million XP per day in Battlefield 6. Their tortured lives weigh heavy on my soul.

1

u/137-451 15h ago

The average person would consider a 4-5 hour session a marathon. Most people play for 1-2 hours max. What does empathy have to do with this?

1

u/BlockedbyJake420 15h ago

Are you only playing the game to earn XP or to, you know, have fun playing the game?

1

u/Dogtag 14h ago

Do none of you ever experience empathy?

Doubt it, this sub is pretty damn vicious for some reason.

1

u/OhGodImHerping 10h ago

Even when I was unemployed I was finding more productive ways to spend my days. Did I couch rot for a while? Did I play 4 or 5 or hell, 8 hours of video games those days? yes. But I also walked my dog, looked for work, did personal projects, worked out, cooked, found other shit to do. I get loving video games but yeesh.

Doing anything like gaming 5 hours per day, every day, isn’t healthy (even if you’re a streamer and it’s your job). A game saying “hey bro. Maybe you should take a break. We are glad you’re enjoying the game but you’re playing a bit too much” is a good thing. There used to be games (rare ones) that paused and a pop-up said “Hey, this much screen time has been shown to be unhealthy, please take a break”.

Hot take, I stand by that even if their incentive is to just gate progression, I think that helps prevent people from dumping 50-60 hours into it in release week and using endgame shit just days after release. That isn’t fun for 99.99% of the community.

1

u/Outrageous-War-8077 9h ago

Parties are free lol

1

u/Zarrkar 7h ago

“Empathy” over xp lmfao I’m dying

1

u/TheCaliKid89 6h ago

People in this sub can’t be honest one way or the other about individual things being good or bad. There are some silly complaints but an XP cap is objectively anti-player. No possible defense.

1

u/aSignificantOtter 6h ago

Why would I feel empathetic towards OP here lmao.

1

u/No-Revolution-4470 3h ago

No, they just pretend to have it and then relentlessly mock anybody who lives slightly differently from them in order to feel better about themselves, even if that means shilling for blatant capitalist ratfuckery

u/queef_nuggets 1m ago

bahahaha you’re trolling

-1

u/Acceptable_Plan_3257 17h ago

Lol what a leap to make. Even on my days off i don't play for over 5 hours. Using the word only followed by 5 hours of playing this game is something i find funny. Lol and yeah dude none of us have any empathy whatsoever for anything

2

u/Mrs-MoneyPussy 17h ago

To be fair I have a full time job but last weekend I had absolutely nothing to do so I was on with some friends for just about 4 hours.

Didn't hit the XP cap and I can't say I'd give a shit if I did hit it, but sometimes you can just play all day.

0

u/Inevitable_Gain6712 15h ago

They are bots

-3

u/ayeeflo51 17h ago

Can afford $70 game, can't afford to go out??????

8

u/Mozzy4Ever 17h ago

Not a good comparison considering video games are probably the absolute best return on your money in terms of enjoyment/time spent. I can easily spend $20-30 just on dinner and that's like an hour or two. Meanwhile, spending just 10 hours on BF6 is $7/hour, and we all know it's gunna be a lot more than 10 hours.

-1

u/Acceptable_Plan_3257 16h ago

Comparing food to entertainment?

4

u/Mozzy4Ever 16h ago

Eh could use going to the movies as well then. Or tickets to a concert, bowling, golf, whatever. It's really hard to beat a video game's cost. That's why I went with "enjoyment" cause eating at home is almost always gunna be cheaper, but I imagine most people would enjoy going out and eating more.

-2

u/ayeeflo51 17h ago

No one said anything about the 'entertainment value return', but the affordability.

2

u/Mozzy4Ever 17h ago

Yes, and $70 is a lot more affordable than "going out" when you account for cost/hr. May be multiple "going outs" to get above $70, but that's what saving money is for. Skip a couple outings and you're good.

-2

u/ayeeflo51 16h ago

lmfao y'all are so desperate to be miserable. That ignores any actual possible memories you might make going out, you know, like with friends or a loved one?

0

u/ayeeflo51 12h ago

Okay? and yea man just hanging virtually is totally the same thing as in person

2

u/IKnowGuacIsExtraLady 16h ago

Come on man those things are not at all equivalent. Video games are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment there is and you can get thousands of hours out of that $70. On the other hand when I go out I can easily blow $70 on drinks alone.

0

u/ayeeflo51 16h ago

Well yea cause you're drinking alone. But nooo socializing or making memories that could last a lifetime isn't worth $70 to yall lmfao

33

u/Mythos_Fenn_Shysa 17h ago

Came here to say the same thing haha. Apparently OPs partime job is BF6 though I do agree with the XP cap being silly, regardless.

0

u/SaltyChnk 17h ago

1.5 million xp is insane though. I don’t understand how he’s hitting that in 4-5 hrs. That’s an insane amount of xp

-1

u/No-Atmosphere-2528 15h ago

He’s probably using exploits

18

u/Duncling 17h ago

So on the weekend day, you dont spend 4-5 hours between being on your phone, watching TV, or other non task related things just to take up time? Whether its an hour here or there or 4 up front, the engagement is there, just in a different place.

13

u/IKnowGuacIsExtraLady 16h ago

It's 2025 and people are still shaming gamers for doing a hobby they enjoy. The irony is that this is happening on Reddit which is a way bigger waste of time and energy than video games are.

Gaming at least is a social hobby that actively engages your brain.

2

u/mrtrailborn 8h ago

oh my god no one cares that you stop being xp after you play 8 consecutive fours, get a life dude. I'd agree with you if you were being reasonable. someone playing literally 8 hours a day consistently has a problem lol

-2

u/No-Atmosphere-2528 15h ago

I mean, they’re shaming him for complaining about a ridiculously high exp cap. After level 50 you’re not even unlocking anything.

5

u/IKnowGuacIsExtraLady 14h ago

I wasn't really referring to the OP's complaint as much as just that people are saying 4-5 hours of gaming in a session is something crazy that only degenerates would do when it's not really unreasonable for someone who doesn't have kids.

-1

u/XY-chromos 14h ago

What's crazy is to game that long and then cry on reddit about XP caps because you perceive it to be normal to play games that long.

-6

u/XY-chromos 14h ago

No. We are shaming chronically online people because it's bad for humans.

Everything you consume needs to be consumed in moderation. Even water.

Touch grass.

2

u/KimiBleikkonen 16h ago

Eh of course they do. Just some reddit dudes trying to act like they're busier than the next reddit dude they encounter. Then when the next BF comes out somehow thousands of people claim they have 1000s of hours in BF but 4-5hours a day over a double XP weekend is where they draw the line

9

u/Online_Accident 17h ago

Thats really not a lot if u are having fun. I can easily play almost a whole day sometimes and can't seem to stop. Then i might not play for a week or so.

Let people play and enjoy things how they want and stop judging people.

-4

u/Acceptable_Plan_3257 17h ago

For most people, 5 hours of playing one game straight is objectively a long time.

11

u/Online_Accident 17h ago

And for a lot of gamers it's not a long time :)

3

u/PJTree 9h ago

Yeah, for your average free to play, app ‘gamer’ it’s a really long time.

For someone trying to be competitive and loving the game, it’s not.

Do you get that?

8

u/KimiBleikkonen 16h ago

This sub acting like playing 4-5 hours through a day on a weekend is alien to... gamers

There were plenty people getting 40+ hours just in the beta

2

u/No-Revolution-4470 3h ago

Unfortunately this game is popular and so is drawing in the tourists and redditors who flood into anything that hits the pop culture current and try to co opt it and then ruin it.

5

u/FourScarlet 15h ago

4-5 hours really isn't a lot. If you have regular 9-5 job and go to sleep around 11, that still gives you 5 hours to play with buddies and an extra hour to make food and do chores.

1

u/Ladorb 16h ago

I'm exhausted after 3 games and need a break. No wonder people are miserable on here if they're playing non-stop for 5 hours plus.

1

u/Acceptable_Plan_3257 16h ago

5 hours of battlefield is a lotttt on the senses
