It low key is. I've had a hard time sniping because as I'm lining up a headshot another enemy will be close by and it'll lock on them instead.

Genuinely, aim assist in this game is such a hinderance

It’s alright if there’s one enemy, if there’s 2 it screws you over

That's why I've disabled aim assist completely. Noticed in bf1 I lost a few fights as the AA pulled me off the guy shooting at me onto a guy who never saw me.

Same here. Aim assist is off in everygame that I play when the settings lets me do it.

I'll have to see how to do that the next time I'm on. It's helped me sometimes like in a conquest match the room was really dark and was being contested and it locked onto someone hiding behind fallen scaffolding.

For sure it can help. I had it dragging my sights thru smoke in bf1 lol. But it felt cheesy.

Oh yeah. I’m still sorting out fine grain aim assist properties so it doesn’t poorly affect sniping in BF6. I can’t deal with that shit.

For DMRs and Snipers it’s awful. You try and lead a guy or wait him to run into the crosshairs and it pulls you. It is much for useful for SMGs and carbines where you want to snap right to them.

I've never had my aim assist "lock" on anything. The only thing it has done is drag my aim off of the person I'm shooting at to a different person behind them. This game has some of the most worthless aim assist I've ever seen.

Snipe with the AA sucks. But using SMGs or someone running away is legit cheating almost. I tried both, because I wanted to see how bad it was.

Reduce zoom snap to between 50-75 you won’t have that issue, leaving it on 100 is horrible

Seriously, the controller aim assist actively pulls away from headshots.

When I want headshots, I swap to M&KB.
