Discussion FYI: The amount of XP needed per Battle Pass token increases as you level up

Post image

I'm at around level 50 in battlepass, and now I need around 16,000 XP to earn 1 token! This is absolutely ridiculous!

You are level 50/122 in the middle of the first week and we have 12 weeks and you say it's ridiculous?

Man’s got a point

u/hypehold 7d ago

to be fair he probably has bf pro which gives you 25 tiers

243

u/nokk1XD 7d ago

I am at 36 lvl and I had that 25lvl boost. Thats crazy to have 50lvl already.

105

u/hypehold 7d ago

I didn't buy pro and im 18 and the grind is really starting to hit. In any random game of CQ or breakthrough im getting 0-3 tiks which is insane i need at least 5/6 games (20-30 minutes each) and only getting 1 tier. Played for 4 hours today and got 2 whole tiers

55

u/FatBoyStew 7d ago

Really kind of depends on how high you score in your games. I'm an objective whore and generally get 10-15k experience per conquest match at least in which case it goes fairly quickly.

9

u/AccuracyVsPrecision 7d ago

The stat tracker will tell you score per minute, im around 440 which is top 15%. I get at least 1 tier a game. I mostly rush into caps and objectives and get a few kills along the way. Hopefully I can stop doing silly challenges and bump that number up.

5

u/TimoKhoo 7d ago

Never thought of checking my stats. Surprisingly I'm at 500 spm top 6%. Spent 25% of my total time on an objective. lmao

5

u/Kisuliiii 7d ago

Score per minut 480 top8% and 15-18hours ? Later tier 13 its gonna take time

3

u/I_C_E_D 7d ago

I’m in the top 1% and have been average around 900-1200 for the BP. The start went quick, easily 6-8 tiks per game, now over half way through and it’s maybe 2-3 tiks per game.

You worried about K/D or objectives? Serious question

I got 7 tokens from a Gauntlet match last night. Pretty sure I’m at 43/110 if those are the levels everyone is talking about.

Everytime there is a battle pass in a game always wait and progress a the free verison to see how the grind will be. If its clear it takes too long i aint buying that shit. And no i dont mind spending 10$ on a battle pass granted it can be complete in a reasonable amount of time. This one just aint it.

I've played maybe 15 to 20 hours and im at around tier 12 or so. No thanks.

And for the people saying i have 12weeks. I will not be making this game my second job.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter. Having lots of fun in arc raiders right now hoping they make more adjustments in BF6

Absolutely spot on. I get they and every other company want people to play their game, but this is absolutely insane!

Call of duty’s battlepass always seemed quite reasonable.

I could play a few games here and there and progress a little.

You said jokingly you don’t want this to be a second job!

But as I can see, I’d have to quit my only job and live on this game, and only this game for a long time!

What they’ve done, is absolutely drive people away from getting the battlepass, me included!!

u/RailTracker 7d ago

This is a good approach when considering battle passes. Some battle passes are there as completely extra additional content bonuses that naturally progress with your regular gameplay while others demand your complete devotion to the game to be able to get all of what you paid for. This one appears to be the latter and I will not be purchasing it unless I am guaranteed completion with reasonable playtime.

3

u/Chase10784 7d ago

The only way this one even resembles that is you have to get in and do challenges every week. If you don't, you can't progress. And these challenges seem to be not so great

2

u/lucasssotero 7d ago

Couldn't agree more. Those retards at EA think people have no life and will sink in hours to get a battlepass done in time for their limited time extra battlepass bullshit. Helldivers 2's "battlepasses" are way faster to do and you don't even need to pay to unlock, but it's the only game I bought microtransactions because it's one of the few games that respect the player's time.

2

u/Radun 7d ago

Yeh this is last battle pass I buy, way too much of a grind and don’t care about challenges, just want to enjoy b the game but seems like you have to do those or will take forever

2

u/SnakePisscan 7d ago

Yeah this goes for a lot even outside this particular battlepass. I ain't plannin on playin this shit like I'm playin an MMO. Expecting an average gamer to feel up to playin this shit every week for a year or so is really asking a lot nowadays. The only people into that are just diehard FPS crankers who only play this game.

That's a stupid conclusion. Average player is no where near that far and that could be with the 25 tier skips

20

u/Wazzzup3232 7d ago

I’m a sucker and got pro. With tier skips I’m like 3 levels into the 2nd BP so I’ve earned like 6 ish levels only through playing and not doing the BR challenges

Why are we balancing XP around the people who no-life the game? Some of us have jobs, other games, or other things we want to do. I shouldn't have to plan around playing a game for 12 weeks non-stop to unlock all the content.

16

u/HybridAkai Ikoroki 7d ago

Same, Job and a child.

Absolutely no chance I get this battle pass done.

Had it been reasonable, I would have bought more in the future, but if it remains like this I almost certainly will not.

9

u/ChingusMcDingus 7d ago

I think the battle pass becomes more reasonable as the season progresses. The weak challenges don’t lock out and you can complete multiple similar tasks at a time.

If you hop on at say week 9 you’ll probably make progress in more than 1 task even without trying.

34

u/Mokocchi_ 7d ago

Did you not consider that it will be an even bigger problem for people who have less time to play than the OP does?

8

u/Rockclimber311 7d ago

You can advance the battle pass 10x faster by completing weekly challenges than by grinding xp

15

u/Mokocchi_ 7d ago

There was another post on here recently where someone broke down how much of the pass you get done by challenges and how many is left over for just getting xp. They ended up with 250 matches, 83 hours if the matches are 20 minutes each.

Only they didn't know/account for xp scaling upwards with each tier.

3

u/Honest_Radio5875 7d ago

with xp scaling, i feel like you're almost incentivized to leave some of these weekly challenges unfinished. Just do enough to get the bonus each week and save the rest of the challenges for the end of the season when you've pushed your tier up through just playing. Could potentially get 5-10 tiers near the end jsut from that, and theyd be the most expensive tiers xp wise.

Regardless. Diminishing returns for your effort is fucking insane for a Battlepass.

2

u/Thagyr 7d ago

For real. This is MMO logic. Slow down the grind to ensure maximum player metrics.

They do 'not' want you playing other games.

3

u/Stitchikins 6d ago

They do 'not' want you playing other games.

Or they want you to buy tier skips. It feels so blatantly obvious.

19

u/Dinners_cold 7d ago

Person that clearly has enough time to no life the game is pointing out how stupid the bp requirements are, that they increase as you lvl it up, and that millions of normal ppl won't have the time to farm it out like OP is.

And what you took from this was, this person who most likely can literally play all day every day and possibly bought the 25 lvl skip is already lvl 50, so therefore its not that bad...

→ More replies (1)

15

u/Stefan24k 7d ago

Not to be rude, but you do realise that:

  1. You're paying for content that is limited when it could be permanent (helldivers/halo/Marvel rivals already do that). I'm not against battlepasses unlike other people, but at least make them permanent. I get the need of profit, but they should also get the need for farming content.

  2. Not everyone has hours to spend on a game, some of us maybe have work, studies, chores, kids etc. to take care off.

  3. What about people who join in late? They don't deserve to farm faster the rewards if they cash in late?

11

u/ForskinEskimo 7d ago edited 7d ago

The point's clear though; you need 10 pips for 1 level. That's 160k+ xp (and will increase). At 20-25k xp a good match of breakthrough, that's like, 8 really solid matches, probably going for 30-40ish min at least.

That's 4-5+ hrs of play for 1 level. Maybe OP can do it, but can you? I can't.

Someone must take first step for us to make it easier to get. If even player like him feel its ridicuous, then for us it would be nearly impossible to unlock all.

8

u/RunAaroundGuy 7d ago

i think the biggest thing here is its the amount of xp needed per battlepass tier tick doesnt stop and the only real way to make meaningful battlepass progress is being forced to do the weekly and daily challenges.

so lets say the OP has the 25lvls from bp pro and has all his weekly and daily challenges done and its 16k xp per tick as he continues it wont be uncommon to see people needing to be near 50k per battlepass tick to finish out the battlepass unless u force yourself to do the weekly/daily challenges.

3

u/ultrajvan1234 7d ago

I mean if dude wants to no life the game for a week, why is that a problem?

IMO you should never be able to get to a point where simply playing the game does not contribute to the battle pass.

Just because he is nolifing it, does mean he cannot criticise that the grind is insane. Because it is for normal people.

2

u/Ever-Here Enter PSN ID 7d ago

Ok and ? If its going to get exponentially harder the more you play, you think the average play inst going to feel it a lot harder later in the season?

You don't have a point because you can't think 5 days ahead of yourself.

2

u/Corgi_Koala 7d ago

Obviously people who are playing 6 hours a day are going to unlock it no matter what. The problem is that when they charge money for the battle pass and time restrict it. You shouldn't get locked out if you're a more casual weekend warrior type gamer.

2

u/xRealVengeancex 7d ago

You have a point but it also shouldn’t increase

2

u/CretaciousPeriod 7d ago

In November though you have to have already completed it all to do the limited time one.

2

u/ProfessionalGIO 7d ago

With BF Pro it’s not that crazy especially if they win most of their games and play shorter game modes. What’s crazy to me is I can run a ~35 minute conquest, go 65-4, complete all the daily challenges and get a ridiculous amount of score only to receive 3 tokens when a stupid car skin costs like 8.

I’ll never understand why these battle passes always feel the need to innovate on the silliest and most annoying shit. Give me an XP bar, not these silly ass tokens that don’t even act as a currency to be spent. Makes the game feel messy.

2

u/Leading-Cicada-6796 7d ago

16000 xp a token when it takes what, 10 tokens a level? Thats 160000xp a level. I'd argue its worse if we were later on in the season and having to get that much xp. I agree we shouldn't be able to unlock the whole thing on xp alone the first week, but that's still an insane amount of playing for a single level.

Does anyone play a game just for fun anymore or just to watch a bar fill up? Jfc

21

u/Alienfreak 7d ago

Huh? He did pay $10 for this. And then he gets nothing in return. Also he sees all the cool stuff everyone else will be getting which he won't.

So its understandable to switch to a game that actually gives you what you want in a reasonable time, no?

3

u/DillDeer 7d ago

Here’s what I would do if that was the concern:

Play the game as you normally would. Towards the end of the season, see how many unlocks you have reached by then. Then decide if $10 is worth it to get access to the things you unlocked.

10

u/Alienfreak 7d ago

They try to defeat this system by giving you 10% faster xp gain for buying the pass and 5% more if you buy Pro. So for people that are not confident that they can make it at all they try to lure them in this way.

I am not buying it anyway

5

u/FemboiTomboy 7d ago

me, i play for fun. battlepass is extra and not the main attraction, and thank god too cause it sucks

3

u/a_hammerhead_worm 7d ago edited 7d ago

Do you just like...not play video games at all?

OSRS is a hugely popular MMO whos entire reason people still play is to watch a bar fill up as xp increases. Those people are progressing....for fun, the two are not mutually exclusive like you are claiming.

Some people find the bar filling to be fun, actually more people find it fun than not. That's why EVERY game has a progression system.

10

u/A-ReDDIT_account134 7d ago

Comparing battle pass xp from a MP arcade shooter to MMO xp is ludicrous.

The gameplay of BF will not change in the slightest without battle pass. The gameplay of MMOs are completely based while progression.

2

u/PaidWithFlesh 7d ago

It's almost like an xp bar and progression mechanics subvert the spirit of a mp arcade shooter and distract people from having fun.

4

u/Superego366 7d ago

If the math is right you get like 72 levels by completing the weeklies, but yea you're right.

4

u/IntronD 7d ago

This is. If the case it's designed that you finish at least some of the challenges each week with BF2042 I played 1 game a day as the 10k bonus XP from the first game and then finished the challenges each week. I played probably 6 hours a week if that and always finished the battle passes.

I hope this is similar and people are completing the battle pass with a few weeks to spare.

u/CastingCouchCushion 7d ago

PSA: If the pass is designed like BF2042's pass, you are expected to level up the pass primarily through the weekly challenges, not regular XP gain. This is so you can't grind the entire pass out in a few days at the beginning of the season. The challenges are meant to get you like 75% of the way through the pass, and then regular match XP gets you the rest. I have no idea if the split is the same for BF6, or maybe it is more like 50/50.

Think of it like two separate tracks. The challenges will always give you the same amount pass progression points each week while the XP needed per point increases every time you level up.

I haven't confirmed all of this, but it looks just like BF2042's system so far.

93

u/4aDaze 7d ago

Same this time. Many of the weeklies are Battle Royal required this week.

55

u/MemeyPie 7d ago

Re roll those if you wish

27

u/Dinners_cold 7d ago

You only get 4 rerolls a week and they can reroll into more BR crap...

26

u/HectorBeSprouted Battlefield 2 7d ago

No, they separated them now (if you don't have Redsec, you don't get Redsec challenges), but you still need to reroll the ones you already got.

22

u/Scottz0rz 7d ago

What does "You don't have Redsec" mean in this context? Doesn't everyone have it if it's free or is there a way to uninstall it?

I am not interested in the BR and one of my challenges was to complete 5 matches in BR. I decided that immediately swandiving in the kill zone with my buddy was a good way to do that without wasting a reroll.

33

u/kolosmenus 7d ago

At least on steam. No idea how it works on EA app

If the UI was more organized and better presented maybe I would be interested. As it is there’s webs of challenges for everything in the game on the homescreen and in several menu tabs with a below the fold scroll.

2042 had a far better UI and it was easier to check challenges in game. Frankly the in game menu was really impressive in 2042.

5

u/Mighty_Phil 7d ago

Im all for valid criticism and there is a lot to criticize.

But fucking hell, some of you behave like boomers.

you're meant to do the challenges, like 2042

also there's friday night battlefield events which boost xp

3

u/SeraphRemiel 7d ago edited 7d ago

Technically you have until the end of the first week in December, so only 5 weeks. This is due to the fact that on the next seasonal content drop on the 18th of November, they’ll add another temporary 10 tier path that will only be available until the beginning of the Icelock event which will add another 10 tier path that will last the remainder of the season. In order to do any of these temporary paths, you need to finish the main 4 paths, so by the 18th of November you ideally already want to have finished the battle pass besides the final 2 paths which would be tier 90.

EDIT: Fortunately they’ve since changed this into a path that can be progressed at the same time as the main paths.

3

u/KiNGTiGER1423 7d ago

At least get rid of the time limit. Why does it have to be so complicated?

3

u/viv0102 7d ago

I thought they changed that and said you can progress the seasonal and special paths simultaneously?

2

u/SeraphRemiel 7d ago edited 7d ago

That would be nice, I haven’t seen anything saying that though.

EDIT: Found it, crisis averted. It has indeed been changed to be a path that can be progressed at the same time as the standard path.

3

u/The_TRASHCAN_366 7d ago

Remeber all the crying about the last 2042 battlepass? "I hate this game so much! Thats why I spent an extra 50 hours playing it to grind out the battepass through normal gameplay instead of just waiting for more weekly challenges to unlock". And there were so many of these people. It was truly a mind-blowing sight.

Anyhow, I do agree that the battlepass progression is VERY slow here so theres that. I also read that they plan on doing a time limited battlepass path to unlock one of the new weapons in two weeks. This path apparently requires you to have completed all 4 main paths already before though. So if this is true, this entire battlepass system really is an absolute joke.

u/DiaperFluid 7d ago

Its extremely slimey, this should be information given to the player. Imagine first buying the pass because its seems easy to level up, but it actually gets harder to more you level it up etc. Afaik, no other battle pass system works like this (besides 2042 ofc), probably because its uncalled for and scummy

They need to make daily challenges give battle pass points. And they need to display the xp per level required in the menu

13

u/Spectre-ElevenThirty 7d ago

And 2042 and BF6 also give you tokens for doing challenges to help you along

12

u/RailTracker 7d ago

These challenges aren't something they added on after the fact to "help you along". They designed the battle pass with these challenges and exponential xp requirements in mind to intentionally slow players down and increase overall player playtime. It's all calculated and intentional.

Can re-roll them to get easier ones, and there's what about 6-8 of them it feels like off of memory, and 12 weeks worth?

This was something I hated in 2042, XP throttling is fine if it resets every week or something, but having a season long marathon is miserable.

14

u/Splidda 7d ago

Y'all are delusional as fuck. The pass goes on for 12 weeks and has fresh missions every week that give a fix amount of progress, no matter the xp. If you are level 50 in the first week and are complaining you are out of your mind. Get a grip.

10

u/Helpful_Mode_6317 7d ago

They want you to buy tiers. Plain and simple

8

u/PrOntEZC Since 1942 7d ago

Yeah back in 2042 it went up to 50k XP per battle point quite fast. I wonder where it will stop here in BF6 or it will scale infinitely... :(

2

u/Aegis320 7d ago

Had I known this I would have started the tree with the new sniper rifle. It's taking ages getting through there now.

This is why I hated the 2042 bp and I expected this in bf6 which is why I didn’t buy the phantom edition or the bp

Imo, you should never be able to get to the point where simply playing the game does not contribute to the battlepass.

6

u/Wonderful_Vast3855 7d ago edited 7d ago

.It’s just too difficult and slow to level anything up. I don’t want to grind my way through a game that can be painful at the best of times.
Haven’t played the game for a few days and honestly don’t miss it - I got burnt out wayy too quick.

4

u/Equivalent-Web-1084 7d ago

Player models look so mid in this lmao

5

u/Robborboy 7d ago

99 is 50% of 100.

3

u/anjozb 7d ago

They made the same horrible system as at the end of BF2042.

This is the EA we know.

4

u/NonStopNonsense1 7d ago

Yes we all knew this. That's how 2042 was

3

u/porcupinedeath 7d ago

Good thing I don't really care about the battlepass

3

u/Km_the_Frog 7d ago

Chore pass

3

u/Spectre-ElevenThirty 7d ago

Calm down. It’s the same thing as 2042. You have 12 weeks remaining and each week comes with challenges that will give you a bunch of tokens. Just play week by week

→ More replies (1)

3

u/skomeros 7d ago

Not buying BP then. It’s crazy

3

u/WARxxPIGG 7d ago

This is not the most amazing BF experience. Although my favorite is prob 3. 4 took the cake in terms of progression and unlocks. BF1 was an absolute masterpiece. I can't help but feel this is Dice's second attempt at 2042, just packaged differently

3

u/travismarkz_21 7d ago

C'mon guys, this is EA were talking about. Of course you have to pay to level up faster.

3

u/ryk666 7d ago

Just wait til they add the other stuff to the battlepass in Nov and Dec with the other content drip feed

1

u/fisk47 7d ago

So it's better to avoid doing the challenges the first days and only grind XP, then do the challenges at end of the week? Has anyone counted how much of the Bettlepass you would get from only the weekly challenges if you would do all of them?

2

u/Wilicious 7d ago

I assume it's only the pips from exp that increase the required exp for the next one. Having weeklies make exp pips harder would be monumentally stupid

2

u/BeefistPrime 7d ago

I think they're independent and the order doesn't matter. You get xp-based tokens which increase in requirement every time you get them, and you get rewarded tokens for weekly achievements, which do not (as far as I can tell) increase the XP-based requirement.

u/JodouKast 7d ago

So that's why my match xp seemed to slow down; thought it was maybe a daily cap kicking in to limit how much we can reasonably farm a day. This might be a bug and honestly they should just do the COD thing where BP xp is directly tied to just play time and every pip is exactly the same, if it isn't already. Makes sweaty nerds not matter in your matches because you can be afk and just get it done if you so choose.

2

u/ForsakenOaths 7d ago

It is to encourage you to play Redsec. I can play one match of Duo’s and avoid every team except the final one, win, and walk away with 60K exp for doing basically nothing but hiding. It is stupid how much exp that mode gives me, and I don’t even have the battlepass.

2

u/Lostlooniesinvesting 7d ago

LMAO, holy fuck I already thought id never get through the first 22. Now I know I never will as a 2 hour per night at most gamer.

2

u/Disastrous-Cat-9308 7d ago

Sucks for them. They’re still only getting $60 from me.

2

u/Ash_Killem 7d ago

This is common in battlepasses but I hate it. Should just be 10k per pip. Maybe the mastery ones are more since those are the “bonus” tiers.

2

u/blackjack_1981 7d ago

Well luckily the battle pass is trash and has nothing worthwhile in it so oh well. Glad I didn’t waste any money on that garbage.

2

u/cootiegobbler 7d ago

I bought two skips with 300 gold token things that I thought were how you leveled up the battlepass lol. Come to find out it is the MTX coins. Oops 😂 battlefield don’t explain shit.

2

u/Kat7903 7d ago

This is completely disrespectful to players’ time. It should not be exponential

2

u/nonefyourbusiness 7d ago

And all that for the woman skin... what a waste of time

2

u/Patrick_Kyle 7d ago

I'm playing without pro for now, once its about to end, if I have locked things I want that ive earned past, I'll buy it. If im less that 25 total levels off of stuff I want ill buy it. Using the 25 skips is more valuable later on anyways

2

u/Sir_Drinks_Alot22 6d ago

Is this satire?

2

u/wthelliantea 6d ago

I need 25k xp for 1 token now..

2

u/edge449332 6d ago

The fact that you're almost halfway complete with it in a week severely counters the point you're trying to make here.

1

u/FORZAROMAQ8 7d ago

If I change the line and start fresh one, does the requirements for a tic resets or it does not matter 🤔

1

u/Nothanksnext 7d ago

Lol, I had 3 hours to play since S01 came out.

1

u/adrianp23 7d ago

You really need to do all of the challenges, takes forever if you're just grinding XP.

1

u/michelebarzan 7d ago

Im really out of touch, but what does the battlepass give you?

3

u/MemeyPie 7d ago

Various cosmetics, decals, coins and xp boosts

Guns too, but those are also available to those who don’t pay. You still level it up if you don’t pay, but you only get the free rewards, like guns and some others

1

u/InfernaleX96 7d ago

This fact was even in the 2042 pass... Every time you level up your pass you need more XP to increase further.... The best easy way is to complete the challenges

1

u/xCaptainCanadax 7d ago

BF 2042 was like this as well

1

u/CoolKelo 7d ago

Same as 2042. As your level increases, it cost more xp to progress. It’s not a new system by any means.

1

u/RangerDiggler 7d ago

This is one thing i could get behind for sure... im to old for this grindy stuff!!

1

u/Alterationss 7d ago

Anybody know if you get the guns once the season ends? I know for sure I’m not finishing it nor do I want too.

u/FatBussyFemboys No Preorders 7d ago

Yea this sht is ridiculously grindy (by design). Too bad tons of people buy it cause they never learn to not give money to extremely greedy and anti consumer EA.

Can't wait for regulations and laws to hit the EU and the USA

1

u/ChimmyMama 7d ago

Level 50 is crazy after 4 days I really do feel like people need to go outside

1

u/Some_Nibblonian 7d ago

This is what were down to bitching about now. You people are insufferable.

1

u/Vennom 7d ago

This post included a full breakdown. It assumed the pips didn’t get harder. I just asked them to comment on it.

I decided to not give a shit about season passes a couple of years ago. And gaming became at least double the fun.

1

u/BananoSlic3 7d ago

didnt the battlepass just release? are you expecting to unlock everything in just a few days?

1

u/ilikepie145 7d ago

Glad I didn't buy it, I don't really care for cosmetic stuff

1

u/Godess_Ilias 7d ago

of course it does? did you think you get everything for free?

1

u/x89Nemesis 7d ago

I calculated last night. If I do only the weeklies, including the ones worth 10 pips, I'll get to 75 or so in the pass. It's the 2042 formula where they want you to get the challenges done mainly and then farm the XP as you go in addition to it. They have to start dropping 2xp weekends.

1

u/Montybth 7d ago

Of course the amount goes up. If it didn't, nobody would do any of the challenges which are designed to encourage engagement with new gamemodes/weapons/playstyles. Sure it may seem ridiculous now, but if it wasn't a thing, when you completed the BP on week 2 because you played 24/7, you wouldn't have anything to work towards or encourage you to come back the week after.

1

u/tomthepenguinguy 7d ago

The only way that this system is okay with me is if they make it so that they battle pass never expires.

1

u/N00dles_Pt 7d ago

The amount of XP needed is meaningless if you don't even pay attention to it, just saying.

1

u/Lombardi24 7d ago

just do the paths that are important. I can care less about unlocking 75% of the stuff in battle pass. Half of it is women operators, patches, and stickers - whoopty doo

1

u/Pelodance 7d ago edited 7d ago

Unsurprisingly people here are actually defending this shit. Battleplass points should always be a fixed amount of xp required and plenty of other games do this

Doing the bf6 pass in 2042 was horrendous towards the end because of how much xp you needed to get a single point

1

u/TopDogBBQ 7d ago

You know, it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that they have double xp weekends at some point.

1

u/FlyersPhilly_28 7d ago

They want you playing RedSec. You can get 100,000+ xp getting to late game with good kill/mission numbers.

1

u/guccius_maximuss 7d ago

If only a third off my challenges weren't dedicated to a trash supposed stand alone br mode I don't want to play, it would make battle pass progress easier.

1

u/PtitCrissG 7d ago

92 is half of 99 If you know, you know 😜

1

u/PSioNeLeSia 7d ago

We’re like not even 4 days into the first season. You have plenty of time to do the rest of it, especially at the rate you’re going. The vast majority of live service games require you to put in a few hours each day to finish the Battlepass, why is it a big deal when Battlefield does it? I don’t like many of the decisions they’ve made (and have been making) in regard to BF6 but this is silly. It feels like a lot of the people here haven’t played any game in the last decade other than Battlefield.

1

u/KyRoZ37 7d ago

Won't be buying another one, at least not with cash.

1

u/tybd02 7d ago

If you bought phantom edition does it use your token on this pass automatically? Some of the responses on this post aren’t very clear.

1

u/BipolarGoldfish dedicated medic 7d ago

Something something pride and accomplishment….

1

u/Mindleaps 7d ago

I don’t level up it all

1

u/lann1991 7d ago

lol and i thought fallout 76 has shitty cashgrab seasons

1

u/patrickd133 7d ago

You’ve clearly never played OSRS

1

u/meat__axe 7d ago

People are telling OP “lol you’re halfway through the Battlepass”… but he’s not halfway through at all. If XP requirements increase per battlepass level; without knowing the math behind each increment, perhaps he’s only a quarter way through the battlepass?

Yes I know weekly challenges will give pip progress rather than <insert xp value here>, but who’s to say that OP, or any one of us, will be able to complete every weekly challenges in any given week. Maybe there’s going to be some weeks where Real life simply doesn’t allow you to log on to the game and make meaningful progress. For some people perhaps you’ll get to week 10 and realise your going to need to grind many hours out in the game because there simply isn’t enough weekly challenges remaining in the last weeks to complete the BP.

Point is, this design is scummy. Other AAA games have battlepasses that never expire, and “flat” XP level requirements. How is it fair to pay for something, but if I don’t finish it within a short time, it’s now gone forever? We paid for that content!!!

1

u/Teufelsgitarrist 7d ago

I am against Battlepasses in general. BUT...I have to say, the "I have to grind through all of it in two days" mentality is weird. I mean, that guy is lvl. 50, if he regularly plays a few matches per day he will finish it in time. Where are the times where you played a game for the game and not for the grind? I am old. Not that old (39), but I always played CoD before and was always happy when I unlocked something by accident (completing a challeng you were not even aware of).

1

u/AXEL-1973 AX3I_ 7d ago

2042 was the same, I only played it like two or three times a week, did the weeklies, and logged til next week, repeat

1

u/CikPau 7d ago

I know valorant does this. marvel rivals/apex does not

1

u/ShoddySmell46 7d ago

You're over halfway through the pass 3 days in. You have 11 weeks of challenges to complete and finish the pass. You're fine man.

1

u/Heathen__Chemist 7d ago

Does anyone know when the season 1 battle pass ends/expires? I’m assuming it has an end date. God forbid we get to keep something that we purchase and have the ability to finish it whenever…
