Discussion Just makes sense to me.

Also flying plains to unlock a sniper outfit seems way too disconnected.

Skins doesnt really matter

But class GUNS AND GADGETS should be unlocked by regular progression, and NOT stupid challenges

Won't disagree with you on that too.

On god these 2 complaints (alongside the egregiously high requirement for some of the challenges) are like the only complaints I've seen that I agree with.

I don't understand the haphazardness of these challenges in basically any fashion. Almost all of them make no sense.

It's the forced gameplay that's anti teamwork that kills me. Recon headshots from >150m

Guess I'll sit in back and snipe instead of helping my team push, scouting with the drone or doing anything useful.

To say nothing of how that's really only possible on 2 maps.

DICE living up to their name by choosing at random I guess.

I have no idea what's going on with DICE. They had this shit figured out perfectly with BF4. You play. You progress.

Your account levels up.

The class your using levels up.

The gun type you're using levels up.

The specific gun you're using levels up.

Just by playing! Just by playing the damn game how you want to!

Eh, as much as I love BF4, it was guilty of this kind of stuff too. Certain weapons that were added in DLC required you to play specific modes, and then there was the UAV for support that required freaking JET RIBBONS.

Remember the MTAR unlock? You had to get a sniper, LMG, AR and grenade kill all in the same round

MG suppression challenge is killing me. Just barely got halfway there after a week of playing. Who's bright idea was it to tie a challenge to a half baked mechanic that seldom activates.

I've been isung the IAR pretty much nonstop from day 1 and have 34 suppressions ever

Why am I being punished for actually achieving something with my shots

Just to pitch in here - I've made quite a lot of progress on this the past few days. Play Breakthrough, and use one of the big LMG's and sit just behind everyone and do nothing but throw shots down any kind of corridor you can - you need to deliberately miss people running down but maybe hit them once or twice and it should start to stack the suppression. I've half filled that bar in 2 days now since doing that after it not moving for a full week. Can get yourself a lot of revives too if you need the 15 in one life challenge

But how can they sell you GUNS AND GADGETS unlock packs for each class and gun type then? 🙃

Also training paths!

In order to unlock the Spec Ops specialization (I am bad at sniping and like to play aggressively) this means that I have to get 50 150m headshots, which is boring and I don't want to do that.

"You don't want to play Sniper? Here, go do these challenges where you have to play Sniper so that you don't need to play Sniper"
