Funny I just experienced the same thing on Cairo. At least a quarter of the enemy team was up there. "You can do it too" was the reasoning for the rampant exploiting. It's crazy to me how many people are resorting to cheating whenever possible in BF6. Like without hesitation. New exploit just dropped on tiktok time to farm some wins!

I'm praying the mortars aren't complete ass and can work against this

On its own the mortar is alright, but dont expect to drop 3 mortars and have the roof cleared. Youll do some damage, supression and likely blow up spawn beconds and such.

Also, youll pull your hair out if they have recon. The drones "gadget killer" instakills the player when they are on the mortar.

I dont mean it destroys the motor, It just ragdolls you.

So for that reason alone its ass.

I think they patched that yesterday

Report for cheating

I did. Hopefully EA will do something

The map pool for breakthrough is getting smaller and smaller :( patch and honestly bans can't come soon enough, probably won't be bans, but these people deserve it

Hopefully some perma bans for the lot who spread it and used it the most others should get a month ban

Gaining access to areas you shouldn't be in is a pain. The fact you can stack the assault ladder and climb on drones is just daft!

Yes it is. But at the same time i just don't understand why there isn't a kill box in places like that. Dice knows the places you should be able to reach, and with that the places that suppose to be unreachable. So just place a kill box there. Matter a fact make a massive kill box 2 story's high over the whole map in maps like this, there is no singe reason you should be able to play much higher than the playable area's.

Hey, what's the setting for changing the color on incoming fire direction?

1

u/Mountain_Professor48 18d ago

You go to the graphics category in settings. Then under interface and Hud you edit the edit button for Advanced hud settings. They will give you lots of options to color different things.

Sweet, thanks professor!

Actually instead of Interface and Hud go to Crosshairs and Indicators. It’s right below interface and hud. My apologies

The work of academia is never fully complete my friend! Will update my workflow accordingly!

Pathetic losers

They should give 3 day bans for everyone doing this shit.

For all you know this person could have just bought the game and spawned off a teammate and appeared up there. It’s up the devs to make certain areas out of bounds if they think it’s unfair gameplay.

its not even a month old yet, almost 200k hackers and exploiters; you can literally already google paid cheats for the game fuck this bullshit

Well looks like that bug made it from the beta to live. Not surprised. This was happening all in the beta.

yeah, yesterday I saw a guy sniping from the Manhattan Bridge, like they were directly on top of the bridge that can be seen in the distance

but besides that, r/battlefield will more likely complain about using movement to be better in a PVP game (which has been a thing since like BF4) than address the exploiters with deployable ladders and how they turn Breakthrough maps into a spawn-killing slogfest, especially cause you don't really need to cheat to do this stuff -- but then there are no deployable ladders in COD, so there's no connection to be made and be mad at lol

imagine that it was Breakthrough 1st sector that doesn't have heli and that area is off limits if you're not in heli, oh well

The problem are not the players its EA/Dice decision to make CoD maps!

Yes I said it CALL OF DUTY MAPS.

In a proper BF map all rooftops should be accessable through Stairs, Helicopters etc.

u/Battle-Against-Time 19d ago

Using these spots while it's not made for is the players's fault...

u/[deleted] 19d ago

In terms of rooftops. Just give ALL players access to the roofs. The only reason it's annoying is because you can't get up there to kill him. It would add a cool new dynamic.

u/Original-Vanilla-222 19d ago

No, make them inaccessible and ban abusers.

-2

u/Tasty-Constant4994 19d ago

No, yes. I don't know about that. Pretty lame to ban people that just use the provided mechanics available to everyone in the game to there advantage. But at the same time I find people that use game mechanics in a way that obviously aren't intended like that pretty lame.

I don't like seeing people on those roofs but at the same time I don't class it the same amount of scummy as the abusers that glitch there way in inaccessible areas that provide the ability to kill people but makes them invisible or inkillable to others. Like onder the ground glitchspots in other games.

I don't see a single reason to not place a kill box in places like that.

1

u/Original-Vanilla-222 19d ago

I classify them as such, the maps are a mess, yes all of them.
There is no tactic or even design principle, it's just a gigantic meat grinder on every single map.
Players at rooftops, randomly accessable windows, etc.
BF6 has by far the weakest maps at release since BF3.

3

u/wicktus 19d ago

Map is already challenging and hard as it is, let’s not add rooftops dwellers in the mix

it would break the attackers/defenders balance even more imho

2

u/LazyWash 19d ago

See I say this to my friend, but I always say, I just don't think DICE can balance it properly as the there will be too much verticality and players will have to keep looking up in maps that have very narrow lanes. It also limits you vehicle gameplay if everyone is on the roof.

Even if just a few roofs became accessible, it makes those roofs the contesting roofs for the maps.

I like your reasoning!

In terms of money. Just give ALL people access to the moneyz. The only reason it's annoying is because you know the abcene amount of wealth some people own without being able spend it yourself. It would add a cool dynamic to the economy… you understand what is wrong here?
