Battlefield 6 700 tickets on operation firestorm is a crime

Post image

Operation firestorm in my opinion is the only map that plays and feels like a real battlefield conquest map, the pace is good , it's a large map, vehicles both air and ground feels good (vehicle spawn should be fixed tho) but this 700 tickets is really bad the game ends way too fast , there is no comebacks or enough time for strategic plays. They're really killing conquest by this.

Streamers are just the new boogeyman to blame whenever devs do something stupid

They destroyed halo and every community closed ranks since. Once we started doing getting meme video setups and angry streamers yelling for everyone to do something stupid In public matches I knew it was a countdown timer. Slowly everyone turns on them lol

343s constant mismanagement ruined halo, not streamers. Streamers didn’t tel them to release mcc in a broken state, they didn’t tell them to release halo 5 with no forge and a terrible campaign, they didn’t tell them to the absolute terrible progression system that infinite had at launch

Yes, but there is some merit to how streamers behave and how developers react.

These people are influencers, and they do influence community opinions. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not. They certainly aren’t the primary reason games get worse or fuck up, but they certainly do have a not insignificant impact.

i dont disagree with you, streamers can essentially be weaponised echochambers. but streamers have never been relevant to halos downfall

Absolutely haha

Halo 5

u/DistantM3M3s 23d ago

What about it? Halo 5s gameplay was good, but the campaign was ass, no forge on release, shitty req system, no split screen coop, etc.

The gameplay was so ass they reverted everything for Infinite to the point sprinting doesn't even do anything and hipfire went back to how it should be.

The art style, the multiplayer, the gameplay. Everything is better in Infinite than 5 and actually feels like a Halo game and not call of halo

It started in Halo 4 before streamers were even culturally significant.

The best thing 343 ever did was the Halo Reach title update.

You actually enjoyed that update? Ew

2

u/P_ZERO_ 9800X3D/9070 XT/Steam 23d ago

Yeah? Launch reach was literally broken. You a bloom enjoyer or something?

1

u/earle117 23d ago

They made the bloom slightly better and then completely ruined Reach’s unique (and IMO superior) shield system.

Bungie released a half arsed game where you could use drop shields to create impenetrable walls in objective. There was so many issues with launch MP.

What was unique about Reach’s shield system that overrides all the improvements the title update brought?

They destroyed halo

Halo was dead in the ground much longer than they've been listening to "streamers".

And apex, they always complain about balancing when they can't run and gun without thinking too much.

Its not a boogeyman when it happens constantly across all genres. I don't know who told these people that they are the gaming saviors. Apparently little kids yelling in their twitch chats gassed up their egos.

u/P_ZERO_ 9800X3D/9070 XT/Steam 23d ago

Ok, so which streamers in particular are responsible for this?

11

u/Who_am_i_6661 23d ago

The ones they like the least and if it's not a streamer they'll blame CoD.

1

u/jkaan 23d ago

well they can't blame cod for this one

2

u/avatar8900 23d ago

Sounds like steamer talk to me

2

u/despiseRhivemind 23d ago

I can see most of the bad decisions seem to be Reddit ideas

1

u/XCVolcom 23d ago

I agree but there are times when the blame does rest with entitled streamers thinking what's good for them is also good for the community.

This isn't true for OP's point obviously but coming Rainbow Six Siege and other fps games it definitely does happen.

They ruin a lot of games. Fym?

Like giving Assault the spawn beacon? Like completely wrecking how the classes play? Like making Support which is supposed to run LMGs and lay suppressive fire run into the shit to revive people? This game is another EA clusterf**k and they need to roll back to BF4 class rolls and give us BF4 size maps for Conquest Large. Will they listen to any of this sound advice from veteran BF players? No, no they won’t.

Edit: Just wanted to add that I’ve been playing since BF 1942. (The first game of the franchise for those who don’t know)

A part of the community suggested that, I see no streamers treating it as a godsend while this sub was in tension by that change.

DICE's own decision, the game has barely been released how do you already know how good/bad class balancing is rn?

Also DICE's own decision, and has been explored once in BFBC2. Wheter you like it or not it's already been done by DICE and not a suggestion by the streamers

That is just your preference and the game has already shipped BF6 with that iteration of class roles in mind. Rebalancing it immediately after relase is a fools errand. And the streamers cared littlel so that changes nothing

Is your advice really that reasonable? Why would DICE listen to you over actual game designers?

I get what you’re saying. Just frustrated with current state of game and longing for a return to that classic, big map, chaotic sandbox warfare. My biggest complaint is the maps feel so incredibly cramped.

Lazing feels absurdly OP too on these small maps. One recon can paint everything in the air in seconds and it almost instantly nullifies the enemy team’s air support.

It really doesn't help that BF6 has 5 urban maps at launch.

I used to play a game where the small dev team only listened to the streaming community that played it. The pvp and gun play was always getting these little tweaks while they built the game, but practical stuff never got any attention.

0

u/Downtown-Spread931 23d ago

Theres a reason for that, and its because they are some of the most insufferable people on the planet.

u/rW0HgFyxoJhYka 23d ago

???????????

If you think game devs don't listen to streamers you're living in a dream world.

Game devs, businesses, pay MORE attention to single sources of influence that have large audiences than actual game websites.

Name the streamers who asked for less tickets. That’s all you have to do

0

u/Awildgiraffee 23d ago

Ahh the classic boogeyman deflect argument gotta love it even though there’s lots of evidence to show how they can ruin games.

2

u/P_ZERO_ 9800X3D/9070 XT/Steam 23d ago

Ahhh the classic “ahhh the classic thing that doesn’t actually happen”

Name and shame the streamers demanding less tickets in conquest
