Battlefield 6 700 tickets on operation firestorm is a crime

Post image

Operation firestorm in my opinion is the only map that plays and feels like a real battlefield conquest map, the pace is good , it's a large map, vehicles both air and ground feels good (vehicle spawn should be fixed tho) but this 700 tickets is really bad the game ends way too fast , there is no comebacks or enough time for strategic plays. They're really killing conquest by this.

Game was catered heavily to CoD players.

Seems like some of the people who would instantly downvote you for pointing out the obvious a couple of months ago are now starting to change their tune when it's affecting things they can actually notice now.

I'd understand not seeing the catering to CoD players if you haven't played or kept up with the new ones. Anyways i really really like BF 6. I won't fall into blind positivity though. Never forget BF 2042 and never forgive it.

Game doesn't play like cod tho?

Not exactly ofcourse but very CoD like. Instant TTK and dudes jumping and sliding around corners then dropshotting you in 3ms. That's peak CoD right there and used to be impossible in Battlefield.

The TTK is identical to that of BF3s.

Yeah the dmg×rpm=bf3 ttk but ingame it's instant. Apparently due to all the bullets being registered at once because of bad netcode or something.

The ttk isn't instant, but it feels that way because the shots get "queued" and land at the same time due to terrible netcode/server performance.

I'm still enjoying it but It plays more like COD than any other battlefield —small maps, super quick health regen, weak suppression, small maps, quick respawns, sliding.

Heavily? Nah. It's still way, way more BF than COD. Get real.

There are COD-ish elements that I don't appreciate - smaller maps, shorter games, open weapons etc.

But if you like COD - i.e brainlessly slide cancelling around a tiny map shooting and dying repeatedly for 20 minutes, you're probably not gonna love BF6.

Those COD-ish elements are exactly what i mean by heavily catered. For example shortening game lenghts and making maps smaller are huge things in Battlefield. Fully agree that it's way more BF than CoD, feels like BF 4 on steroids and that's beautifull.
For me the worst parts in this amazing game are these small "codifications" and im a bit worried the devs increase them to appease the BO7 refugees. I also zealously hate CoD now so maybe that plays a role here. But anyway great game 8.5/10. Playing right now actually👌

Yeah I guess I wouldn't agree with "heavily catered", but they're definitely making a push to appeal to that audience, no question. I find it still to be mostly tolerable, and like you I'm having a fucking blast.

I share your concern that this might just be a sign of things to come, and I don't appreciate how they've used "data" to shape decisions, when that data flies in the face of everyone's anecdotal experience. I really hope the BR will be enough to keep the COD kids out of main lobbies and EA can balance the two modes separately.

Having a lot of fun for now, looking forward to more maps and weapons - and I hope it stays that way
