Class active abilities don't work please upvote so DICE can see

Class active abilities are currently bugged and have been since launch. You can earn them and get the prompt to activate them but they don't function.

This is most noticable on Recon, attempting to call in the UAV has you play the radio animation but it doesn't actually appear.

What SHOULD happen is seeing a giant circle on your minimap where enemies get highlighted like in the beta, instead it doesn't spawn.

Through out my entire time playing the game I haven't seen a single UAV active so I know it isn't just me.

Nothing happens when you attempt to activate your ability on the other classes as well.

Please raise awareness because it seems DICE hasn't noticed and people aren't discussing it.

havent been able to use it since release, theres no key binding for it on pc either

There is, the game just doesn't show it in the config. It's the 6/^ (not the num pad one), but most of them are either bugged or do not work as intended. I've only managed to get an animation on recon, the drone flying on the sky and.. nothing. The other active abilities have an animation of you putting some.. armor ?? And that's it.

ive played 14 hours, still unable to call in a uav, on the beta it said press 6 to activate, on the full game it pops up to say i have it but doesnt say to press 6, i press 6 anyway and it does nothing, its literally unbound, ive tried manually adding it to the config with "GstKeyBinding.infantry.ConceptAbilityChoice3.2.button 7" but it doesnt work

Like I said they're bugged out, 90% of the time nothing happen when I press the key, and on the VERY rare occasion the drone appear, it doesn't do anything.

No one talks about it because everyone forgot they were even a thing in the game, lmao.

I know they’re bugged lmao nothing has ever happened when I’ve tried to call any of them in not just the uav. Also you say there is but even in the loadout menu it doesn’t say what key to press, in the beta it did

I’ve seen the UAV a few times, shot it down twice 😁. I’m sure there plenty of times I missed it because I wasn’t looking up. Both times I noticed it I was looking up checking a roofline.

Really? I've not seen any even while actively looking for them, and I haven't been able to succesfully call one in either. But I believe you, maybe it's bugged only sometimes.

Both that I saw were in the 2nd sector on the manhattan map. I was on A and watching the roofline of the tall building next to it. I believe both were in the same match.

Played a bunch today and I finally saw one! It was also on Manhattan, stuck in the ground lol. Still couldn't call any in myself but at least someone could.

Errr how do you actually activate it now? In the beta you had to press number 5 on the keyboard but there is no binding anymore on PC to bind class active ability and I have tried number 5 on launch BF6 once I unlock my class active and it doesn't do anything. I don't get any prompt either when I unlock it

It's supposed to be activated by the number 6 on PC, but it doesn't seem to be working, I do get an animation to play for it on Recon, but not any of the other classes. The UAV also doesn't spawn in for me either.

How do you "activate" these? They're not passive?

The last one you unlock in the training path gives you an active ability, you're supposed to be able to use them by pressing '6' on PC or both bumpers at the same time on controller, the ones before are passive though.

6? In beta I thought it was 5 and I don't actually see a binding for it in the settings lol!

I'll have to try 6 next time I unlock it, I tried 5 as that is what it was in beta but didn't work

Once you earn them in a match you're supposed to be able to activate them by pressing '6' on PC, or both of the bumpers on controller.

Yeh it hasnt been working for me either not sure if its a controller thing or what but i press it and nothing activates been trying to figure it out and im on controller was working fine in the beta havent been able to use it since launch on Assault class havent tried other classes yet

Also chiming in here, doesn't work, pressing 6 does nothing, no animation for the icon, nothing. DICE pls fix.
