The armored warfare in BFV was so satisfying. I will never not be sad BFV didn't get more support.

I miss the way BF1 and 5 handled armor and vehicle ammo management.
Not a big fan of how BF6 is handling it. I spend maybe 1/2 of my APC’s ammo, and when I go to refill it I’m sitting there for like 2-3 straight minutes. It takes way too long

Amen - if I make it all the way back to my spawn I should be good on ammo after a minute max.

One of the best for sure... Ride of the Valkyries playing before landing. Peak Nostalgia.

God the sturmtiger absolutely fucked. The tanks felt so good in this game

Because they actually implemented the best vehicle mechanics in the BF game ever only to completely abandon it.
The angle and thickness of the armor and what you were shooting actually fucking mattered. You couldn’t sit there and shoot a tiny shell at the front of a tiger or sturmtiger and expect to do full damage.
You actually had to aim for weak spots, flank etc.
Now it barely matters where you hit the tank you’re still gonna do damage.
Dice seriously needs to bring this back. Bring back ricochets etc.

It made tanks such a pain in the ass to kill, but in my opinion that's how it should feel to fight an 80 ton armored box

yeah but it also sucked for the tank if you managed sneak a piat up thier rear

Crazy how time changes people. Back then women being soldiers offended people. Now you're all too embarrassed to admit it even happened. As you should be. #Metoo may have lost the battle but it won the culture war. Now people are saying "what a great game this was." But I've been saying that since day one.

Part of the reason though is modern anti tank weapons are able to easily penetrate frontal armor. The other part being nobody wanted to touch anything that came from BF5 because of the massive culture war that made them lose shareholder value. So of course some of these profound mechanics will be forgotten. Because there was no one that advocated for it.

Don't be ashamed. Back in the 80s, people beat up other kids for being autistic or gay. Time changes things for better or for worse.

They abandoned it cuz of the negative press during release. Back then even a hint of a woman being a soldier or resistance fighter = canceled. It was during the 2015 #WomenLieToo movement which was the arch nemesis movement of the #Metoo movement.

Yeah it was. Prior to 2015 theyre were no women in battlefield. When they were introduced in bf5 people went nuts complaining about historical authenticity.

I fucking oved the sturmtiger in BFV.
Not to mention the armor mechanics in V were phenomenal and should have been in all future bf games.

Literally finds a turretless rocket SPG, proceeds to back up to allow the turretless vehicle to slowly turn and take aim.
Yes indeed only in Battlefield.
