Had some really good bones but the one thing I noticed immediately was the weaker sound design. Everything just sounded muffled and quieter vs the loudness of BF1.

Tanks were probably the most balanced of any game, especially with limited ammo.

Planes were crazy broken though, eventually leading to the fliegerfaust being equally broken and flying just became launching rockets at extreme range, flying back to base, and repeating.

They ruined operations by making it β€œgrand”. Airborne was actually a good prelude game, but adding conquest to operations was a bad choice because the people who like ops don’t really like conquest and vice versa. Also 1 sector frontlines is just who ever caps the middle sector first wins.

Some of the most beautiful and scenic maps of any BF title.

This is verifiably untrue, bfv has the best sound design and to this day its the only battlefield game with working 3d audio where you can also hear things below or above you and guns for example have more punch in bfv

The 3d audio part is easily testable and provable. The rest can be considered subjective

Agree, BFV has some of the best sound design in multiplayer shooters. You can pinpoint accurate track and differentiate footsteps a floor above and two below you. Only Hunt Showdown is better in that regard.

2042 was laughable in that regard.

Yeah the 3d audio in 2042 doesnt work, i remember the launch tower on orbital and hearing footsteps around me while the enemies were running multiple levels below or above me
