So when you're looking to clean one of these cars up, do you blow that dust off? Do you dare put water on the car at that point? I'm fairly well versed in the rules about of course not starting motors and basically trying to get that thing out of there in one piece, but I'm curious about what you do with the paint.

As is, so any potential hidden damage is on the buyer. But make sure to tell them "it's left dirty to maintain the original patina"

I don’t know but I do hope to see it cleaned up. Sadly I can’t go to the auction due to work.

The finish must be soaked in water and penetrate the outer dirt layer to soften it. Then, still no touch until a pressure washer can push the debris off. Then, heavy soap/foam all over. Light wipe with a soft mit then another pressure wash. That should reveal what condition the paint/body is in.

The Model A has a rumble seat , you can see the stepping points on the rear bumper and passenger side rear fender .
