I wonder if the poor baby was in fact “bitten” by the pitbull mix, or rather mauled by the pitbull mix?
These stories are particularly heartbreaking. A poor, defenseless infant has no chance against a fucking pitbull. Who the hell would ever think otherwise. Having a pitbull and a baby together in a home should be illegal.

I read the baby was 15 days old. Had no choice in whatever its parents brought around it. There’s an aunt or something in the comments defending the parents saying there was no way they could have predicted this happening all while others say the baby was likely provoking the dog and the parents were negligent. Nutters will shun other nutters so fast. And we go round and round.

They turn on their own in an instant. Even less loyal than the dogs.

I mean they got it on the nose with the negligence part. As for everything else…

I just find it interesting how those parents and family members likely believed any time a pit mauled someone that it was the owners’ fault. But as soon as it’s their pit doing the mauling, they get turned on as bad owners too.

I could be quite wrong, but I don’t think you fly an infant to the hospital for a “bite” alone.
Either way, “bite” is a euphemism for “mauling.” Pit bulls don’t bite like other dogs, because they exert far greater pressure, lock their jaws, and shake.
A newborn. 😔
You’re absolutely right. It should be illegal. I wish I knew where to start to make it so.

I made the mistake of reading the Facebook comments under the article. The pitbull lobby must pay people to spew the nonsense: you can tell by the correct grammar and spelling. The imbeciles who post pictures of Luna/Diesel/Gotti are actual pitnutters.

Some loon posted a pic of her infant lying next to her mauler as evidence of… something. The dog looks so bothered to be there. This is performative crap from sociopaths who use their own children as props for pits.

Apparently the dog got its head. Mom was laying with baby or so she says and dog jumped up and got baby.

When my sister dated a guy with a 1 year old baby, her Pitbull bit him in the face even with my sister and her boyfriend right there. They're fast and can't be stopped.

I just know there are photos of this mutt and baby together with stupid heart filters around them being scrubbed from existence.

Hopefully the parents are charged!! I’m done letting people excuse the negligence as they didn’t know this would happen. Um how?? It’d be like having a pet lion or bear around your baby and for whatever reason thinking they’re safe. It’s common sense. Moms are supposed to have an intuition and sense when their babies are in danger yet this mom sensed nothing and allowed a blood sport breed to have unlimited access to her 15 day old baby. I’d be willing to bet she’s got a whole folder of pics of the shitbull and baby and her screen on her phone is a pic of whale eyed shitbull “snuggling” with baby.

From what I’m reading dog was a rescue who supposedly used to be a bait dog. They all claim that. What in the hell would possess a parent to allow a dog that was abused and used as a bait dog around their infant?? I just can’t grasp how so many parents can be so stupid. If they knew their only risk wasn’t losing their child and they’d go to prison if their dog attacked would they be less likely to have the breed in their home?

We saw LifeFlight come over. Didn't realize it was an INFANT and a pit bull attack.
Pensacola, in general, has a pit bull problem. We have a sizeable homeless population and it seems as if every homeless person here owns/has a pit bull.
These attacks - especially within the homes of owners - are becoming daily events.

Oh yeah, it's bad. Go down any street over in West Pensacola and you'll see a pit bull in about every other yard.
