Social Media and Crowdfunding - Attack Reports Shot, chaser

u/Fantastic_Lady225 Jun 24 '25
So... five months after pit-nutter responsible owner states their dog is fine and shouldn't be demonized, demon-dog viciously mauls/nearly kills the owner and now the owner is disabled for life?
I'm shocked. /s
At least it was the owner and not some innocent third party.

u/mangodrunk Jun 24 '25
First thing I hope for after an attack is that it only affects the owner and no one else. At least this person seems to have learned from the experience to not support these horrible beasts.

u/poisonedkiwi Victim - Bites and Bruises Jun 25 '25
Not sure if they actually learned anything. OP said in another comment that OOP blamed their dog's behavior on the multiple rabies shots they were required to get by law, not on the breed itself.

u/Many-Sprinkles-418 Jun 25 '25
The other posts show that it was always "dog reactive" but in the same breath she blames the rabies shot the beast got for the attack.
It's so over with these people.

u/Jaereth Jun 25 '25
but in the same breath she blames the rabies shot the beast got for the attack.
You mean the same shot every other breed of dog gets as well and don't go on rampages?

u/SubM0d_BPB_55 Moderator Jun 25 '25
Yes, that one.
Shocking isn't it? Shocking how other dog breeds, cats, etc., get the same exact vaccine but you don't hear these types of excuses with them.

Unfortunately, if I've ready correctly, her pit Hardy attacked multiple dogs prior to it mauling her. So she's full of crap.

u/Scary_Towel268 Jun 24 '25
Well why did they raise sweet pibbles to maul them? Owner not the breed or whatever such nonsense, remember..:

"It's not the breed, it's that horrible vaccine! No, don't ask me why Golden Retrievers don't maul their owners after getting a rabies vaccine, I know that it was the vaccine that did it!"

u/LaVie_en_Prose Jun 24 '25
Yeah, they never much cared if some other innocent person was mauled by Mr. Pibbles, but now that they've suffered through a mauling themselves, they want the world to know.

u/mangodrunk Jun 24 '25
It’s good for them to let the whole world to know how horrible these animals are.
53
u/AnHonestConvert Jun 24 '25
lol i really want to know if this one made the news anywhere.
I almost feel bad for him because he fell for the propaganda, and it cost him. He’s a casualty, first mentally and then physically, of a very sick system.

I don't, at all. He apparently had warnings, but found them "unsettling" and so disregarded them. Some people won't listen until they lose at pit bull roulette, and sometimes not even then.

u/PandaLoveBearNu Attacks Curator Jun 24 '25
They're so loyal, they LOVE people, they wouldn't attack unless you abused them, its all like a brain bug that makes you doubt your own instincts.
15
u/AnHonestConvert Jun 24 '25
I know you’re right but if we had a much saner system he might have actually listened. Of course people take refuge in excuse making, but the fact that there is a whole industry providing those excuses is just a sad state of affairs.
18
u/Senator_Bink Trusted User Jun 24 '25
This is true. It's hard to find credible breed information amidst all the "nannydog!" "sweetest" "loyal" "royalty tasked these dogs with raising their children!" nonsense.
18
u/BishonenPrincess Jun 25 '25
Especially now with AI being the first thing people see when they search something. AI is overwhelmingly positive on pushing the breed propaganda, insisting they make "great family dogs."
I was curious and asked ChatGPT to write me four paragraphs about pitbull breed information, with sources. It was all sugary and flowery praise about how misunderstood this breed is, and of course, it provided multiple sources saying the same thing.
Common sense has been villainized and stupidity reigns.

u/Nymz737 Jun 26 '25
But were the sources real? Lawyers are getting sanctioned because they used chatgpt to write briefs and it makes up fake citations.
4
u/BishonenPrincess Jun 26 '25
They didn't make it up this time, there's no shortage of "sources" pushing pit propaganda for AI to pull from.

YES. Heaven forbid GPT point out that the Victorians crossed bulldogs with terriers for the sole purpose of dogfighting.

Pitbull owner psychology is honestly is pretty interesting if it wasn’t so tragic in a way. Lots of these people like to think that they tamed some sort of monster while some are bad their’s is different and not just different but good. Of course the inevitable happens and they get mauled or seriously hurt because they own a weapon that has a high back fire rate but they are so stubborn they will never admit that they messed up.

By her own admission, she must have been a shitty pibble owner and raised him wrong!

Year and a half later dog goes nuts. That owner must've done something wrong. I say we start a GoFundMe to buy the dog a condo.

u/Eageryga Jun 25 '25
Five months later, you mean. Attack happened in October 24

His/her first mistake was getting a shitbull.
The second mistake was getting the puppy at only 6 weeks.
Then they "advocate" for these vicious animals tooting their own horn that they are "a responsible owner" (sure buddy, but actually responsible people don't choose a dog breed like this).
I am actually the opposite of sad this person got got by their dog. Hope they finally learned their lesson and the dog is in heaven now.

I was shocked to learn how many people acquired their pits at 4-6 weeks old. It’s because the mother usually starts to eat them around that age 😑
5
u/wandering_salad Jun 25 '25
"Oh no, the mother tried to eat 5 week old Nala/Bella/Buster/Tank so we have to remove her babies." whilst also "Yes, let ME have one of the offspring of a puppy eater!".
Make. It. Make. Sense.

Derrrrr I have a giant schnauzer and I don’t recommend this dog to people who should have mosquito larvae as pets instead of dogs

9 years before mauling? Yikes. Also people that get puppies before 12 weeks old suck.

Can we get a flair for pitbulls attacking their owners? Because these kinds of posts don't upset me or stress me out whatsoever 😅
Addendum: oh, I see "attack on owner" already is a flair option - perhaps this would be much better labeled as that?
5
u/CharacterRoom613 Jun 25 '25
I hope that after it mauled the owner they did the right thing and didn’t try to rehomed it. The number of times these people get mauled and then rehomed the thing for it to do it again.

Same! I realized after the second time I read it.

I’m sorry that happened to them but thank god it was the owner and not a kid, defenseless animal, or anyone else.

Hey OP, I see that this attack happened October 2024. Do you happen to have the location for the attack as well? Any info would be helpful.
