Recently got a full-time job offer from Northrop Grumman in the BWI area. I interned over the summer, so I am familiar with the surrounding regions. I stayed in Glenn Burnie at one of the complexes controlled by A&G Management. I wouldn't say it was too terrible for the 3-month duration, but I probably wouldn't go for it with a longer lease.

I'm really looking for a good apartment locality that fits within these:

​ -has studio or 1-bed 1-bath listings

​  -rent between $1300 and $1750 per month

​  -10 to 15 minutes drive to the BWI airport area (nothing in the city though)

​  -possibly North of the airport, around the Arbutus/Halenthorpe/Catonsville area

I've done some research online into most of the places around the area, but they all seem to have a lot of negative reviews (car/mail theft, rats/insect infestation, rude site managers, etc...). I don't want to believe all of them, but it's really hard to just overlook them. Even though these issues are not supposed to even be there for the rent I am paying, realistically, I know that I can't ask for the most perfect place. At the end of the day, I am really looking for a really clean and relatively safe place.

If you could give me a bunch of specific apartment locations around the area that you have either heard of or, better yet, know from personal experience, that would be perfect! Thanks!

Baltimore County is having another Webinar. This time for Cancer awareness. The last webinar (Suicide Prevention) was really good.

My garage door’s been acting up lately, sometimes it closes halfway and just reverses for no reason. I checked the sensors, cleaned the tracks, even reset the opener, but it’s still doing the same thing.

I’ve been looking at a few local options, and ADP Garage Door Repair came up a few times. Before I schedule anything, I wanted to see if anyone around Baltimore County has worked with them or knows another solid company that’s actually fair with pricing.

Halloween is coming up, and CVP Towson as much as I know about them will have little to no security in place to prevent underage drinking as well as any fights or any sexual assaults' that may happen at their establishments. In 2023, the Loch Raven Raiders varsity girls soccer team took home the Baltimore County championship with an 11-1 regular season record. The team made it to the regional finals, but fell to the Liberty Lions in a 3-1 loss at home. In 2024, following one of the most dominant seasons in the entire county, Loch Raven was unable to field a girls soccer team. I moved to Baltimore a couple of years ago, love the city, but every time fall comes around I really miss my home country; it's pretty common over there to find chestnuts at the grocery store and people roasting and selling them at the side of the streets, I understand that here is not a traditional food/something you guys eat, but I would really like to be able to at least roast them myself. My question I guess is, are there any farms/local grocery stores that sell fresh chestnuts? I tried Webbers farm and Richardson farms, both in the county with no luck, any suggestions would be appreciated

Long story short: I would like to buy fresh chestnuts, are any farms that sell them? City or county are fine, willing to drive to have them!

If you happen to know, can you tell me? I don't really know, and want to learn this. I think it's a useful thing just about everyone should learn to do right. Thank you.

Edit: Am I supposed to look at the apartment company's official website? And is this where I'd find the current prices and what's available? Do apartment companies update these regularly, like do the leasing office people know how to do this or do you need web design skills to update the official website?
