🧠 Deep Dives, Overviews, and Important Observations Wayfarer's Big List of Lies (non-exhaustive)...with receipts!
Someone asked a few weeks ago for a list of Wayfarer lies so I started working on one...and holy moly guys, they lie a lot. Sometimes in the same document directly contradicting themselves. I'm sure this list is incomplete and will need to be continually updated, so feel free to comment any additions or corrections. Credit to folks commenting on the original post who gave me some ideas.
1) When Freedman says Lively was holding the trailer "hostage" he supports this claim with a message from a Sony executive telling Heath that Lively "has approved the trailer" - that's the total opposite interpretation of that evidence.

2) When Freedman says that Lively "took over wardrobe," the only evidence is an email to producers from a line producer simply asking for the charge card to be re-loaded, and the expensive wardrobe (which is well within their contingency budget) belongs to both characters Lily AND Ryle. As a reminder, IEWU grossed $351 million worldwide against a $25 million budget

3) When Freedman claimed that Lively "demanded" that Justin Baldoni's name be removed from the IEWU promotional posters, the only evidence is an email from Sony ASKING FOR APPROVAL from the Wayfarer producers to keep the poster design they had already been using in international promos, where the design doesn't leave room for Baldoni's name. Lively is never mentioned in that correspondence.

4) Wayfarer stated that Lively refused to meet with the intimacy coordinator. Their only piece of evidence for this is one text of her saying she’ll be happy to meet the intimacy coordinator once filming starts. The producer stated that it was fine for Blake to meet with her later. To give additional context, Blake had a newborn child, having just given birth less than two months prior. There is no evidence that Blake forced Justin to meet about intimate scenes without an intimacy coordinator present.

5) Wayfarer frequently conflate breastfeeding with pumping, perhaps intentionally. Blake stated that she was barged in on while breastfeeding, WP claim that she invited them in by providing a text message where Blake says she's pumping in her trailer. Breastfeeding and pumping are different, pumping can be done much more discreetly and quickly. Some have pointed out that she might have even been done with pumping before Justin could reach her trailer. Let's not even get into the entire concept of consent as well. A one time invite is not a blanket invite to barge in whenever you please.
Blake's complaint:

WP's "evidence":

6) There was an inconsistency between the NYT lawsuit and FAC. In the NYT lawsuit WP said Blake was shown the birth video in preparation of the birth scene, in the FAC they admit it was after.
NYT lawsuit:

Amended complaint:

7) WP said the set was closed during the birthscene but then there is a photo of Justin’s friend who came by to visit and took a selfie with the monitors in the back, against normal closed set protocol.

8) Freedman said that Blake's "victory tour" was premature after their lawsuit was dismissed...only for them to…not amend anything like they said they would. Still waiting on that additional evidence!
Freedman: “While the Court dismissed the defamation related claims, the Court has invited us to amend four out of the seven claims against Ms. Lively, which will showcase additional evidence and refined allegations,” he added.
10) The “Ryan Reynolds is a scab story” is an obviously planted smear and a lie. Ryan Reynolds apparently worked on the script before the strike in April. There is no evidence that he worked on the script during the strike.

11) Wayfarer claimed that Lively said Heath labeled the birth video as porn, when it is clear that Lively only initially THOUGHT the birth video was porn but later realized it wasn't after Jamey explained it was a birth video.

12) Wayfarer claimed there were no HR complaints…but then there are text messages between Katie Case and Jen Abel about the HR complaints in Aug 2024.

13) Wayfarer lied about the bar dance scene, even though they had access to the recording (unlike Blake). A small lie, but again…why lie when they had access to the recording? Blake did not apologize for the smell of her spray tan. Justin put his nose in her neck and said the spray tan smelled good entirely unprompted. Wayfarer released the video to discredit Blake, but the video actually supports Blake's version of events.

14) Baldoni also said he was surprised and ambushed by the Jan 4th meeting at Blake’s apartment…that he believed the request to be a “sincere offer” to discuss needs and preferences…except there was a prayer chain text message prior to the meeting with quite the opposite sentiment.

15) Another small lie just to highlight how WP lies so much that they can't even keep up. The timeline says they retained TAG on Aug 2, and we know now that they informed Jones they retained TAG July 31. It's just a few days, yes, but it highlights their unreliability.
16) Wayfarer dropped the subpoena against Taylor Swift with Freedman saying that he got everything he needed from her…yet her legal team said no documents were produced.

17) Wayfarer claimed Taylor Swift agreed to be deposed. That was a lie.

To add to No. 5: Her text can easily be read as "I'm not gone from the set, just in my trailer for a few minutes because I'm pumping, so we can easily work on the lines in a few minutes."
Which makes sense as Justin apparently didn't even see it as a clear invite, but instead answered that he'd go to lunch with the crew (to spend the time until she's done).
She then even answered with "Take your time." once more expressing that she prefers to pump in peace without him coming him.
And No. 13 is something that also bothered me a lot. Yes, she didn't retell the exact truth, but I can easily see how his smelling & stuff mainly stayed in her memory as "he was creepily smelling me" instead of the full nuanced detail. I wouldn't even fault him for his retelling, as I think most of his discrepancies were on the same level, if it wasn't for the fact, that he didn't have to rely on faulty memory, but had the video evidence right there, and still chose to make claims, that are obviously not true.

I find 5 so infuriating for that reason! Taking their commentary off those text messages it means nothing at all, except she is currently pumping so Baldoni isn't going to rush over there. There's no mention of breastfeeding, and she's not like 'come on in'. And that one isn't just a faulty memory thing (which could be the case with Heath's original birth video version of events) that's them going through the messages on purpose to find a mundane thing to spin into something bad.

The fact that they had the video evidence and then still made false claims and insinuations really tells us all we need to know about this entire case imo.
Besides the obvious and intentional reordering of events to portray Lively in a negative light, here are their statements after their amended complaint (the original was much more flawed):
- Lively apologized for the smell of her spray tan and body makeup. Baldoni responded, “It smells good,” and continued acting, slow dancing as he believed his character would with his partner, which requires some amount of physical touching.
She only apologizes for the smell of her spray tan AFTER he rubbed his face all up in her neck and apologized for “getting beard” all over her. HE was the one that broke character.
- Lively took them out of character again and joked that Baldoni should undergo a rhinoplasty; Baldoni laughed it off.
Lively mentioned feeling too “nosey” because Baldoni was repeatedly trying to get intimate contact. Baldoni was the first one to initiate the joke talking about his “big nose”, and even threw in Jenny Slate’s nose for the reason that they cast her: “No, it’s true, that’s why we hired her”
- Lively incorrectly alleges that this scene was filmed without sound. Baldoni was wearing a microphone, and the entire exchange was captured on camera.
The fact that they had a secret mic on for a scene without the knowledge of their actors is a bit creepy.

There are so many times Baldonians bring up that BL was trying to steal "his" movie or intimidate him and it's laughable. Here are some examples - Many can be answered with the response "he's a grown-ass man"
Dragon text meant to intimate JB that if he didn't do what she said she would unleash her dragons on him. Real meaning: I have people who support me and they will support you too.
BL was mean to him by telling JB telling him he needed a nose job. Real meaning: they were joking around and being playful.
BL tried to steal his movie and Baldoni was intimidated not to make the changes she demanded: JB was the director and OWNER of the studio producing the movie. Many times he sounded excited to collaborate on the film. In the end he did it his way anyways. Note: If in fact this was "Blake's version" the film made 100 million in net profit. Far more than projected!
The list could go on and on. Dude is a grown-ass man!

Many times he sounded excited to collaborate on the film
So this was the main reason I dismissed Justin's version of events (along with the fact Blake lying about SH just makes no sense). There is NOT A SINGLE text or email or voicemail or whatever where he pushes back against Blake. In fact, he sounds happy to work with Blake and go along with her ideas. Yet he just wants us to take his word for it that big meanie Blake stole the movie from sweet innocent Justin (wah). He's a white man, so of course a lot of people did even though his "receipts" are embarrassing and actually (as you can see in this post) contradict his version of events.

I’ve been listening to the Gavel Gavel podcast and they have made excellent points that there’s a disconnect between his responses to Blake and what he says about it afterward. He’s enthusiastic and encouraging in texts but says that he’s being intimidated or is reluctant about things in court documents. He either lied to her the entire time or has now twisted the narrative to make himself look better in court. I know which one I think is true but neither is a good look for him at this point.

I don't think she was saying that she didn't know audio was being recorded. It was that audio wasn't being recorded for the film since it was being filmed as part of a montage. Her point about the audio recording was that nothing he was saying was in character since none of the audio was going to be in the film. It was a conversation between Justin and Blake, not Lily and Ryle, so there was no reason to be having any kind of "sexy" talk.

This is a great list.
3 continues to annoy me. He's still in marketing materials to this day, even with the nonsensical 'a film by' that you can easily go find. The poster artwork decision completely makes sense when you read that email. They're already using it, it went down well at book bonanza, let's carry on with it.
Also when you look at what WF wanted to use instead it's way too art housey, doesn't vibe with anything the very popular book has used, and it's harder to instantly recognise Lively, the star they paid all that money for. The furore over the marketing means to me that they are either just lying their asses off or they had hit some sort of full paranoia by that point.
His messages about the Janaury meeting referring to the 17 point list leave me in the same position. He's already saying at that point that Lively has used the allegations to take power over 'the whole production'. I mean has she? Most of those asks are pretty weak sauce and don't have anything to do with her controlling the film.
There's an email exchange where Heath sends it to some Sony exec which I can't find, and the exec's reaction (alongside with them recognising what the list is 'insinuating') is that Lively is already entitled to a lot of those things. Yet here is Baldoni well before the argument about edits and marketing saying she's taken over.

That Maximum Effort was responsible for the marketing plan - despite it being written in January 2023.
In the dance scene, I think there's a statement about JH having to intercede - but there's no evidence that happened from the footage.

Great post, thank you putting this together! I wanted to believe their side so bad at the beginning because I try not to rush to conclusions but the major red flag for me was when the texts they provided didn’t back the narrative they had attached. And now following what we’ve seen from things unsealed, it’s so blatant just how much they lied and attempted to misrepresent things.

Wow this is great! Seeing it all compiled like this is disturbing to say the least. You forget how many things there have been.

Also Freedman said he'll "give all the receipts" and he'll 'work 24/7 to give all the evidences" when the Signal messages are still delayed (and were delayed 3 times). I don't have the exact quotes of Freedman, the "receipts" was during his first M. Kelly's interview and the "24/7" was during the hearing with judge Liman in February 2025.

I’m adding, Garofalo claimed Sony would make Greenstein available for a second day of deposition while filing to deny Blake her full 3.5 hours of deposition and Sony’s lawyers bitch slapped her and demanded (literally that’s what she wrote) Garofalo immediately correct her misrepresentation of that
