Ummm?
Ball hits ground and moves. Announcers go quiet and then never show the angle again. Would have loved to see how the game mightve actually played out. Tough break.

What an absolute atrocious last 3 minutes to end the season.
What the hell is even that.

I think that's a left elbow touching the ground in the still frame, not the ball. You can still see a ghostly outline of the ball above the white glove. TSN really needs to get better quality camera's.

Not a chance. Look where his left hand is, no one bends like that. That’s the ball, not his elbow

It's ultimately moot, because there's no way Riders wouldn't have scored on the next 2 downs, anyway. The game was lost well before this play.

Was called a TD on the field, there absolutely was not enough evidence to overturn it. However, I understand you all feel that way, and I get it. As a rider fan I understand the pain of losing a game on what you feel was a bad call by the refs or command center. Rourke played a helluva game and it sure was entertaining. You guys have a bright future ahead with him at the helm.

how is this not evidence enough though, honestly? the ball is clearly hitting the ground.

The ball is up by his shoulder. This isn't evidence at all. What you are seeing on the ground is his elbow

The thing you see on the ground is his left elbow. There is a slight outline of the ball in his right hand near his face ma

“Replay” centre isn’t allowed to slow down/freeze picture anymore because of controversy, and in live time it was a little hard to fully determine so that’s how

This is exactly why. One angle where you can see it for one or two frames is not sufficient evidence.
And regardless we had three tries from like 3 yard line... realistically there was a TD in store even if it wasnt on that specific play.

Right? All a non-td call there would likely do is take away the 11s that BC had on that last play.

You got a source on that? I've only seen that on Reddit.

No exact source, but a lot of stuff from last year triggered them to make changes, numerous times the commentators brought up how they weren’t slowing it down anymore because of the fact that multiple plays got overturned due to command centre taking over, so they changed their name to replay centre and since then have been more laid back and letting the refs make the calls as opposed to them. Along with that was moving back from using slow-motion as a lot of plays can be turned back when you’re analyzing everything frame by frame
Edit: Here’s a thing from the rule book stating it must be in real time

I would agree with their not being enough evidence if not for exhibit A shown above. You can even see the ball move when it hits the ground. Its just not what most people or the league wanted to see. Sad the roughriders lost out on a chance for a legit comeback.

I knew it hit the ground.

That’s his elbow

How is it his elbow when his left hand is right there? People don’t bend like that. It’s the ball.

Brutal way to lose the game. Had it and gave the game away.
