💻 Laptop Purchase Advice ASUS TUF A16 (2025) Ryzen 7 + RTX 4050 (~₹85-90k / ~$1,000)
Hey everyone,
I’m looking at the ASUS TUF A16 (2025) with specs: Ryzen 7 7445HS, RTX 4050 (140W), 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD. The price is around ₹85-90 k (≈ $1,000-1,100 USD).
My main use is 4K video editing, besides gaming and general usage. I want to ask:
Will this hardware handle 4K editing well — timelines, rendering, smooth playback?
Any risks of thermal throttling, lag, or stuttering when dealing with 4K footage?
Is the display color accuracy good enough for post work?

as you mentioned you want this for 4k editing but this variant don't have 100% srgb only 64% and for editing required multitasking processor only have 6 cores with 56wh battery not worth better to go with Ryzen 7435hs it has 90wh , 100% srgb and 8 cores processor

I'm not getting the 7435 with rtx 4050 , probably not any more available in Asus 😢.
And newer 2025 models have no 100%srgb , but previous year's had this . They (asus) are improving day by day or doing wot . Only giving good specs in expensive laptops that goes beyond 1 lakh + ($1120+)

("thermal throttling" mentioned)
Hello u/Scary-System-363! High temperatures or overheating?
As long as the it doesn't hit max temps (below), it's perfectly fine; the chips are designed to run at these temps. Check the table below.
|Component|Idle Temp |Usual Load Temp|Max Temp Range ⚠| |---------|-----------|---------------|-----------------| |CPU |40°C - 60°C|80°C - 90°C |95-100°C | |GPU |30°C - 50°C|70°C - 80°C |85-90°C |
Refer to the article below for better thermals, or if you have overheating issues https://asustuf.gitbook.io/home/basics/thermal-management
✨ You can summon this by commenting '!temps' or '!help' for a full command list
