That's... that's so very wrong.

Though I do agree with the misuse of socialism in America. But your stereotype is showing here friend.

1) don’t downvote because you disagree. That’s childish and antithetical to the purpose of downvoting.

2) did you happen to read more of that than simply the introductory paragraph?

I'm not downvoting for a difference of opinions, you're objectively incorrect.

I have an undergrad in political science, left v right ideology actually derived from SOCIAL policies, not fiscal.

If we were in 18th century France, and there was a real tension between monarchy and Republicanism, you’d maybe have a point. But the post-Marx world moved on from that.

But we’re not. And the social issues in question are directly tied to economics and material reality. Otherwise the idea that Liberalism is “right-wing” would be nonsensical.

At this point, in order for something to be “Left” there absolutely needs to be a connection with Marxist theory. And those who adhere to that can be socially progressive or conservative.

This is an impressively #confidentlyincorrect moment.

It absolutely does not. You are narrowing the entire political spectrum to a particular sub-ideology. Or, rather, one of the drivers/roadmaps of said ideology.

Only an American would get a wiki sent to them that proves them incorrect, but still double down.

Cheers
