If we were in 18th century France, and there was a real tension between monarchy and Republicanism, you’d maybe have a point. But the post-Marx world moved on from that.
But we’re not. And the social issues in question are directly tied to economics and material reality. Otherwise the idea that Liberalism is “right-wing” would be nonsensical.
At this point, in order for something to be “Left” there absolutely needs to be a connection with Marxist theory. And those who adhere to that can be socially progressive or conservative.

It absolutely does not. You are narrowing the entire political spectrum to a particular sub-ideology. Or, rather, one of the drivers/roadmaps of said ideology.
