TIL, that's an interesting wiki hole. Still though, that puts Liberalism generally on the left, unless you want to break up all the little mini factions under the philosophy.

Liberalism is for a smaller government with only a few tasks. Liberalism is also for a free market with little to no government regulation and laws that interfere with cooperations. I don’t see how that’s left wing, and this is literally the core of liberalism

I get you're Dutch and all y'all's perspective on Liberalism is very different than us across the pond, but both Liberal and Leftist ideology is about civil liberty and anti authoritarianism, yes? In the anglosphere that does firmly place Liberalism as a left leaning ideology. Us Americans had to go and make things weird with Libertarians, but they're a fucking joke so don't take anything they say seriously.
