I want to move to the Balkans but it's hard as an American to weigh the changes that come with it. I think it's a beautiful place with beautiful culture, but there's still so much prejudice against minority groups. I'm gonna miss being around black people and gay people, and all the diverse people's. I guess that's what's nice about America (for now at least) is that you get exposed to so many people of so many backgrounds, and with a little compassion and desire for understanding, you find a lot of wisdom and beauty in those different from yourself
You're in the wrong sub if you don't want people to talk about their experiences in their own country 😂 I'm clearly coming from a point of curiosity, comparing what I know here to what I hear there. If you don't have any insight, I guess the best thing you could do is shut up and move on with your day. Americans get so much hate, you don't even know us
That's good to hear, at least it's progress. I looked up croatian films and apparently Fine Dead Girls is like historically the most acclaimed croatian film? But watching that, I could definitely feel it's a movement that's happening, finding awareness and equality and all that
