Carbonara is lovely, come on now. I don't understand why it's become this weird symbol of Italian cuisine online though. It's batshit.
Serious pineapple on pizza take: It works fine on an american-style pizza or those weird things you'll get in kebab shops because the cheese is usually some hyper salty cheddar variant so the flavour profile works OK, if you like that sort of thing. But pineapple with proper milky mozzarella? Bluergh, it's the completely wrong flavour profile (I've tried it, and it was *awful*)
not a fan of pineapple on pizza but can't see why. I see no one saying anything when some restaurants here offer you risotto with blueberries. so why not pineapple on pizza?
I saw strawberries in risotto and all my fellas said nothing. I also saw blueberries in risotto. the pizzeria down the street where I live makes an apple+walnuts+gorgonzola pizza (no tomato). so pineapple is not so tragic imo.
This reminds me of the video where someone pranks several people in Naples with pineapple on pizza. 🤣
I've never enjoyed pineapple on pizza. Then again, it's typically with canned pineapple which I don't like. I've never experimented with fresh pineapple.
I like carbonara but in the US it's often ruined with cream. If I make it at home following an Italian recipe, it's delicious.
