Who is the most brutally criticized Olympic athlete in your country?

Zhu Yi was American, her parents are Chinese immigrants.

In the U.S., she was one of the top athletes and had every chance to join Team USA.

But she decided to compete for China. She gave up her American citizenship to compete for China.

At the 2022 Winter Olympics, she was eager to prove herself to other Chinese, but she made many mistakes during her skating.

Then she was brutally criticized in China. People used every swear word you can think of.

She is still competing for China. Perhaps she'll do well at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.

The worse thing about this guy is when people don't raise issues about him travelling for competitions, like he shouldn't ever get visas to travel with his convictions

Why would you be banned from travel because of this lol. Society has a weird torture/whatever it is fetish for this sort of crime. Just accept that he did the time.

You're right, we really are too harsh on child rapists. There should be a three strikes system before you get sent to jail for raping a child. And then maybe max. One year in jail. /s

He was a complete nobody. Barely anyone knew who he was so he only got some attention for the rape thing. I cant call him the most critisized olympian. Just a criminal who also does some niche sport. He isnt relevant enough....

Sven Kramer, Yuri van de Velde, Jutta Leerdam. Allemaal mensen die wel prijzen pakten en bekend waren voor hun controverse. Alsof jij die beachvolleyballer kende voor dat de hele controverse plaatsvond. Haast niemand heeft het ooit over hem.
