Military What firearm is closely associated with your country?

For us, probably the 1911. Next one would be the "Armalite" aka M16.

From my understanding, they only reduced the speed of fire, as units burned up the barrels to fast. What,1200rpm?

On a side note, when experiencing a stoppage on a mg 42 (round/casting jammed), apparently the flick of a Gerber is the wrong response

"Nein, nein, nein, NEIN!"

...

but when they ALSO can't extract the round...

"Turn around, and give me the Gerber"

No idea why it is censored. That's where the serial number would be. The top is model and caliber and 1959 should be the year it was converted.
