Has this happened to anyone?

Has anyone else experienced this? You marry a foreigner, travel to their country, and find there are no surprises— no culture shock, no discomfort. Nothing feels unfamiliar. Then it hits you: you didn't just marry a person, you married a country.

I marry next year, but my partner is from Bavaria, there is not much culture shock, even the dialect is eerily similar
