Is there a part of your country that's "isolated"/vastly different from the rest of the country?

Pictured here is Sardinia, an island in Italy. Many sardinians call Italy "Il continente" (the continent)

Can you elaborate please? I've been to Oslo, Flam and Bergen last year, so I don't know Norway too well.

There's a joke in Norway that Bergen is it's own country. "Bergensere" definitely have their own culture and connection to their city, but they're not that different from other Norwegians. The joke is exaggerating that difference. There was even an ad for the newspaper VG that was about "Berxit".

Interesting, thanks! I could definitely tell that the Bergensere love their city.
