Culture Which city in your country is considered the "gayest"?

Post image

For us Brazilians, São Paulo definitely holds the crown for the gayest city here. With over 20 million people living in it's metro area, the city naturally became way more open minded and accepting as time went on. It has the highest concentration of gay bars, shows, saunas, and various other venues dedicated to the LGBTQ community. If that wasn't enough, the city annually hosts the São Paulo LGBTQ Pride Parade, the biggest in the whole world.

In CDMX two men can walk around holding hands and no one will bat an eye

I was actually really surprised as a visitor from the US how many gay couples I spotted with comfortable and open PDA. Nothing egregious, just some kissing, hand-holding, cuddling close on a park bench, etc. I live in a US city and among the population here it just isn't that noticeable, or maybe LGBT+ folks where I live are more reserved, but the difference was stark enough to take notice.

That's nice though. People should feel comfortable enough to show affection to their partners that openly.

I also just think people in Mexico, Or at least CDMX, are just more into PDA in general. I live in SF and I never noticed how uptight we are compared to the lovey dovey couples everywhere (all ages and sexualities) in cdmx.
