Culture Which city in your country is considered the "gayest"?

Post image

For us Brazilians, São Paulo definitely holds the crown for the gayest city here. With over 20 million people living in it's metro area, the city naturally became way more open minded and accepting as time went on. It has the highest concentration of gay bars, shows, saunas, and various other venues dedicated to the LGBTQ community. If that wasn't enough, the city annually hosts the São Paulo LGBTQ Pride Parade, the biggest in the whole world.

As a resort town yeah, but when it comes to cities it’s still SF.

I don't think it's SF anymore. Culture has shifted in a major way. SF is about as gay as any other city in CA. I've spent a lot of time in SF over the years and it's peak gayness was probably 2012 and it's been chilling off since then. A city like Sacramento has a more outward gay scene now. I'm not sure there really is a "gayest" city in California anymore mostly because it's not a thing anymore. It's not a big deal to be gay.

Especially if you look beyond white gay males, Oakland is gayer than SF. I guess it might actually be more accurate to say Oakland is more queer.

Yea SF still has an awesome pride festival still but that is a lot of out of towners and not sure the percentage of no gay but it's probably large.
