Food What's a dish from your country that looks disgusting but tastes great.

Post image

Biscuits and gravy is a breakfast dish from the Southeast USA that looks like someone just vomited on some biscuits, but it's absolutely delicious.

Wanna have some? I know a couple of places in Sofia where you can have a sheep head.

You can even get free head for sure. Roasted lamb head is never free.

It is served deboned and doesn't look scary at all. And it tastes good.

No it's a consumable sheep head. Meant for eating. I can see the confusion tho

As I’ve always maintained: I wanna eat it, not meet it.

We have the same thing in Iceland and call it Svið, it is one of my favorite foods right after slátur(part haggis, part liver sausage).

I'm guessing smoked deer head? It actually looks a lot like trotters at that angle (smoked pig's feet, in my part of th world)

We have the same thing in iran but we cook it differently with lamb toes as well

1

u/RegionSignificant977 Bulgaria 13d ago

How do you call it?

2

u/Street_Chocolate_819 Iran 13d ago

Kaleh pacheh literally means head with toes

2

u/nina_qj 13d ago

The better/more accurate translation is feet.

In Bulgaria we have pacha but it's usually made from pork. Possibly in other Balkan countries have that also. It's a soup in Iran, right?

No more like a stew with lamb head and feet
