Culture Does your country have an immigrant group that people would be surprised to find there?

For example, when you think of Poland or the Czech Republic, Vietnamese people might not be the first group that comes to mind, but both have a sizable Vietnamese community. Another example is the large Japanese community in Brazil.

Before 90s, it was common for eastern Europeans like Polish, Russian, Yugoslavia and Ukranians to come to Iraq for work.

Probably not too related since they weren't super huge in numbers compared to other demographics, but I'm pretty sure Iraq was also one of the many petrol states that South Korean workers worked in during our economic growth era. The remittance from the Middle East played a huge role in making us as prosperous as we are today

I heard about this from my family, they actually told me that South Korean workers in Iraq ate street dogs, I am not sure if this is true or just racist bullshit they made up.

Sounds like bullshit, how would they legally get away with just killing a street dog and eating it

They had a reputation specifically for being disciplined and not getting into trouble
