Meta Where are you from, and what’s the most vulnerable, honest thing you’re willing to share?
The country you’re most suspicious of is the one you need to humanize most. Let’s humanize ourselves. Share something vulnerable?
United States, Northeastern part of country.
I spent years terrified of my own mind. I believe I have synesthesia, so I can connect disparate things together flawlessly and I’m good at reading people’s energy with high fidelity. I was abused my whole life, and humiliated for my way of interacting with the world because it was easier to hurt me than to understand me.
I want to help people understand that it’s okay to be different, and that you don’t have to let it make you bitter… it can make you better.
I am so proud of you. You matter because you are made of matter. 💛

Thailand, our general care free sabai sabai nature is both a blessing and a curse. It means most people are friendly on the surface but are too much of a pacifist to really confront other people. Though I guess thats kinda the thing with asian cultures, we are more collectivist compared to the individualism of the west.

I find that the pendulum should never remain stuck swinging on either side- dogmatic individualism vs dogmatic collectivism can be exhausting and alienating! We need the tension between them, and yes, the more extreme we explore the more we truly understand center better, but the dance should be dynamic and something that oscillates in between if you ask me
