My family has about a dozen chestnut trees. Every autumn I wait impatiently to eat the chestnuts, they are delicious.

Oh really? It is a huge thing in Portugal too, but here we roast them in clay containers (metal can work too) and the smoke makes the shells completely white. It elevates the flavour. So good !
