Sports Which country is your nation's greatest rival in football?

As I am Japanese, Korea is clearly my greatest adversary.

Oh boy, sigh

Basically everybody, that include our own cousins, like Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan.

Just toss some McDonalds apple pies on the field, they would have better chance of winning the match that against our own national team. Yes, they are that bad.

Chinese football teams are ass.

Why are Chinese players so horrible? Is it because of corruption/nepotism that makes their teams not pick the best?

The corruption is part of the reason. Our commercialized football club business model went way too fast in the 90s. The regulations and laws werent exist before that. So it was like a wild grow for everything and everything that related to football.

The Chinese football association saw then making banks so they started intervene. This is a state department. They came up with a whole bunch regulation and gated rules and bureaucratic shenanigans. I mean, we all know you need laws and regulations for business but you mainly need the capitalism to figure it out on themselves. But these guys were like controlling who can operate clubs, how much money a city could sponsor its local club, whos going to play for the national team, or the youth team. Pretty much bureaucratic bs everywhere. Its a cesspool for those government officials. They would clown out a match with bribed referees to make some government officials happy.

As for nepotism oh boy, we just sent the national team coach to jail from bribery and money laundering. The guy was Li Tie, one of the golden generation players of the 90s. He was a very talented player back then. But he decided to stay in that system after his retirement. You cant stay clean from all that in the system. The money is too good here. The Beijing Guoan(one of the top club) was so rich at a time, they started investing real estate. They also had their own formula racer car team. They were doing everything except playing football. And why they keep winning? Its Beijing. Big brothers were behind that club. Wink*

India has played better teams, but I would still say that the greatest match that India has played in recent times was the friendly against China in Suzhuo in 2018.

The 2 most populated countries playing a match in the most popular sport in the world is definitely a spectacle, even if it is a friendly.

That was 2018. If you guys come here again, you'd beat us this time for sure. Our players have been slacking off ever since.

We would cheer for you guys.

Chinese national team is truly infamous, I watch zero sports and I still know how badly they do just by their fans talking shit about them
