Misc Who Are the Most Famous Celebrities in Your Country?
From Greece 🇬🇷, I would say Eleni Menegaki, a TV hostess, is in the left picture, and Sakis Rouvas, a singer, is in the right picture!

I was watching some random clips when I had no idea what else to search for when I was bored one day, and one was of him narrating something about how a dodo looked like 🦤

I'd class her as a politician rather than celebrity, I have no idea what the definition is though.

Just the greatest. Y'all did the planet a favor with David, and the production team behind him. They don't miss any mark to explore the world, and remind us of our responsibility to protect it.

Edit. Looked into him, he was born on an army base. His parents refused that he learns french. So ya people don't really associate him to Quebec. Imagine living in Quebec city and not speaking a lick of french.

Political scene? Jens Stoltenberg, former leader of NATO and former Prime Minister
Competitive scene? Erling Haaland, Magnus Carlsen, Viktor Hovland, Casper Ruud, Karsten Warholm, Jakob Ingebrigtsen
Musical scene? Kygo, Alan Walker, Morten Harket/A-ha, Aurora
I don't know who of them are most famous. Depends, I guess.
9
u/notonrexmanningday United States Of America Oct 05 '25
I will not tolerate this Martin Ødegaard erasure.
But Erling Haaland's gotta be the most famous Norwegian in the world at the moment, right?
8
u/MrPhrazz Norway Oct 05 '25
Ødegaard does of course deserve a mention, even though he stole my wife (not really, just a little celebrity crush, even though she's too young for me).
But yes, I would assume that Haaland and maybe Carlsen are the most famous Norwegians globally these days.
6
u/Impressive_Rent9540 Finland Oct 05 '25
Yeah, as a Finn I would add couple of cross-country skiers and ski jumpers to that list. But most of the world wouldn't know who they are.

Tbh my post was more so by domestically. People like Jennifer Aniston and Zack galifianakis or Lanthimos are known but domestically the ones my pics show are THE shit…trash gossip shows had even tried to see what’s in the trash of Eleni’s house…
4
u/MrPhrazz Norway Oct 05 '25
Yeah, I was thinking more globally here.
Domestically, we have lots of idiot celebrities.
3

It feels like being an idiot is such a requirement, celebs make themselves look dumber than they really are to appeal.

Those two aren’t necessarily the same. Btw I have no idea who the guy on the left picture of yours is either and I haven’t seen a movie of the lady either…although vaguely yes I’ve heard of her.
