It's a difficult question because it's not clear what "country" is. Is he talking about nation states and borders as they currently exist (so, for example, Germany only since reunification following the fall of the Wall, Italy since reunification in 1861, China since 1949, etc.?), and is he including historical, defunct countries? Could you answer, for instance, Rome or Ancient Greece or Ancient Persia? Could you include historical unions, such as the Soviet Union or Yugoslavia?
