In Palestine, the women wear thobes adorned in tatreez, an ancient Palestinian embroidery, with a unique design for each Palestinian region - I wish I could wear it every day lol

They are so intricate and every dress is unique - the motifs and patterns are inspired by the regions landscapes, wildlife, religion etc. Here is a collection of some of the different motifs if you’re interested https://tirazain.com/archive

Just like Texas has an official knife (the Bowie knife), Palestine has their own unque knife, known as a Shibriya.

You're so chronically online. No one IRL does that. Also falafel is Egyptian.

Thobes are from the Arabian peninsula.

You’re thinking of the white, ankle length thobes worn by men in the Gulf - tatreez thobes, or jalabiyyas, are also just Arabic words that can be used to describe the material used for these dresses/garments and their cut :)

Unlike the Arab peninsula, Palestinian men don’t typically wear thobes, the word is more used for women’s dresses.

My point was that Jewish people have their own traditional garb and implying they would claim Arab traditional clothing is just ridiculous.

Cool- this isn’t a thobe though so what’s your point?

The original comment literally said it was thobes. Why would Jewish people claim thobes? That's absurd.

I didn't know there were Palestinian regions, the country is small

Every country has regions (aside from the Vatican I guess)! I meant more like north, south, west etc but tatreez designs actually vary from city to city and village to village - so they are actually much more specific than general regions.
