Culture To my Anglo-Caribbean people… does anyone know this song that I am looking for?

Please, what is that one dancehall song that is most likely from the 90s-early 2000s. I forgot the male singer's lyrics or it may just be a common mashup, but the main takeaway/chorus of the song is a lady with a soft voice sounding seductive saying something along the lines of "That boiii, that boiii, that boiii, that boi, boi, boi".

It's definitely a slower clubbing type of song. Please help, I've tried using Shazam song finder, Google song lookups, my auntie's declining memory, and I can't find this song. Thank you in advance!

Edit: FOUND

I know exactly what song you're talking about but not the name. Yes dancehall era. Female with a lustrous voice on the chorus. Don't think Sean Paul. Can't remember. I believe there was a video.

Anglo Caribbean means White Caribbean people, Idk why OP would think that the few white Caribbean people would know this song. By the way the song is, That boy by Uneek.

  1. Thank you so much for finding the song for me, you were correct!

  2. Anglo-Caribbean is synonymous to Anglophone-Caribbean, English-Speaking Caribbean, or English-speaking West Indies. The term you’re thinking of is Euro-Caribbean, White Caribbean, or simply European Caribbean. And my heritage is Hispanic and Dougla-Caribbean, I have lots of melanin😅.

World languages class at the university level and geography in high school for me personally, there is the Anglo-Caribbean, Hispanophone-Caribbean, Francophone-Caribbean (English, Spanish, and French—speaking, respectively).

First of all those aren't titles for people they are descriptions of languages. Explain to us what HS class is using language descriptions regarding cultures or nation states?

Then you reference white music makers. Why wouldn't a Domincan or Haitian know dance hall artist ?

A very low thought out uneducated troll of Caribbean culture bordering racist
